Let's Dance! (Game thread)

Worst officiated game I have ever seen! UNC didn't win this game they were handed a gift - they wouldn't have been in it if they didn't get a huge assist from the BS refs! God I can't wait to get out of this podunk conference with their bull crap refs. It would've been one thing if UNC won on their merits - but they didn't. This wasn't a basketball game it was an anointing.

F the Big Sky and their piece of crap refs! UNC enjoy your ill gotten tournament - I'll root for you, but you won't get another ref crew like this again so you aren't winning anything.

Again - F the Big Sky and their horse crap refs!

That being said, you guys did get jobbed a little. Cherry's last foul was a joke, and Beitzel did charge into that Griz player late in the game.

But, with the homecourt comes the advantages. Sad to say our Wildcats couldn't capitalize the past two years.

Good luck in whatever tourney you guys get invited to, you guys should make some noise in the NIT/CBI/CIT

Here's to at least 2, hopefully 3 Lillard/Cherry meetings next year. :thumb:

This is right up there with that Rutgers/St. Johns debacle. Just a complete fail by the officials.
 
The difference in the number of fouls called should give an indication of how poorly officiated this game was. If Montana had not choked against EWU in Cheney, we would have played them in Missoula, and won by 15+.

One thing that also was huge in contributing to this loss, was the poor Griz foul shooting. Yes, I know that the Bears did not shoot fouls great either, but on the road, you HAVE to hit your free throws to win, and the Griz did not.
 
OH CRAP the season is over, probably NIT, But thats not the one we wanted! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

Well with a hard swallow and a tear in my eye I'll begrudgingly wish UNC Good Luck in the Dance and Do the Big Sky well! Maulers 2-2 start of the 3rd, hope they can do it! Been fun,but sad but Griz Nation luvs you guys!

Haha thanks Peaux, I get crazy when I'm in the Dee Events Center. Going to both Dahlberg and Wa-Grizz are on my bucket list. Maybe I'll make it to both next year...just hopefully not for the Big Sky Basketball Tournament ;) Just don't want to be jumped or belittled for wearing purple :?
 
Did you see Tinks go after one of the officials after the buzzer? I have never seen him so incensed over officiating. It truly was a hoze-job!
 
It must suck for UNC and esp. Beitzel to know that they got the W with their 6th man on the floor... Their 1st round NCAA's will be an eye opener...
 
They are likely a 15 seed with all of the upsets in the other conference tourneys. I know I don't have much credibility as a geek of brackets, but you can check out my blog and bracket projections at eyeonthebigsky.blogspot.com

Everyone that wanted to stay in the Big Sky quit complaining. You're getting what you asked for. Griz are getting so dumbed down by the BSC that everyone is catching them in the men's and ladies programs.
