Do you know how many bullshit false rape charges are made because of the societal prejudice against males and how many females exploit that prejudice? Sexual crimes carry the presumption of innocence on the accuser and for the accused to prove their innocence, look at just about any child custody case where the wife hides behind that legal maneuver and what it costs the accused to prove their innocence.

WOW, i am probably older than most everyone who has posted and I am amazed that so many don't understand or know what is going on in todays world. We have all made mistakes in life and I think JJ would agee that he made a mistake but that does not make him a rapist nor does it make him a dirt bag. The "hook up" scene is real. but that doesn't mean that all or even most students are involved. Far more are much more interested in their education and futures. The generalization that all or even most are "that way" is disturbing.

As far as JJ goes he apparently learned the difference between those girls who do and those who don't and apparently NOBODY ever taught him that even if she is easy, the second you treat her like a whore, your world will turn upside down. 45 seconds is all it takes.

I dare say I have spent a fair more amount of time with students and on campus than any offering opinions on how students think and are operating. I have no blinders. The hooking up you refer to is different than what umista and others are reffering to. These kids are far from a bunch of cats in heat being described. Most of these kids are so busy trying to keep their heads above water about the only thing they have time for is to arrange a quick hook up. No party no booze necessary (no time.) Now the freshman in dorms many of whom won't be back - thats a different story. These kids are getting smarter, more competitive aand producing far more than even ten years ago. The biggets problem is many of them still have to call home everyday to find out what to do next......
