A "no" early in the process can be trumped by the further actions to encourage and assist with the sex. Later actions also throw into question whether a "no" or a meanining "no" was ever said. If an accused doesn't reasonably know an accuser doesn't want to have sex, then that is not rape.

I lost some respect for jj during this whole thing but to call him a dirt bag is wrong. As many have pointed out there are tons of 18 to 20yr old boys all looking to hook up and many don't call the next day or think it is that big of deal. Do I agree hell no and i have stressed to my son not to be a "douchebag" when he gets to the dating age. He is only ten yet his two older sisters life experiences have forced my wife and I to discuss things we thought we not have to at a young age. I finally read through the twitter feed tonight of all the testimony. I don't think Jordan Johnson is guilty of rape, but he is guilty of being an absolute dirt bag.

I was holding out hope that he was the victim of circumstance, of UM wanting to desperately prove the NCAA and the rest of the world that it was tough on sex crimes. I was hoping he'd come through this with class, be proven innocent beyond a reasonable doubt, and have the Griz back on top of the Big Sky next year.

Now I find my self disgusted by the young man. Not the accusations, but by his own testimony. I couldn't cheer for this kid and still look myself in the mirror at the end of the night, much less take my kids to cheer him on.

I absolutely love cheering for the Griz, but if he finds his way back onto the roster I will not be renewing my season tickets. It's going to kill me, but I just can't do it. It's a matter of basic principle. When my kids ask me why we're not going, I'll tell them why.

Hopefully in 20 years they can remember that lesson...

This kid basically led this girl on for over a year. Texting back and forth. Getting rides home from her after he was drinking. Then finally sleeping with her for what I'm sure were 45 of the best seconds of her life. Then after she chauffeured this dirt bag to and from her house, he shuns her because he's worried about another girl he really likes finding out.

Hardly anyone makes it to age 21 and doesn't have an instinct for when the girl says no and means business, and hardly any female alive who has been sexually active doesn't know how to shut down an aroused male when she truly wants to.
