Peace is awesome have beers with him often he's a great guy. You can't be around football as long as he has been and be "clueless". Don't know about Rosenbach but would guess he's good at what he does with all the NFL experience he had.

Would bet both know more about football than anyone on this site, myself excluded of course

Can’t speak about now, but when he was younger he was a mega-dick. I personally witnessed some absolute horrible behavior at Mulligans on his part.
If you mean Pease, that reputation has followed him. And he yells a lot.

Maybe he had too many 25 cent drafts.

Nope. Was texting with him just a couple weeks ago. 😂

Yep…communicate with him fairly regularly. :thumb:

He seems to be doing well in AK, although he needs to come back in June and go to Virginia City with MrTitliest, FunnyWater and myself.

In 39 states the football or basketball coach is the highest paid state employee and in many of those, it’s by millions of dollars. One state it’s their hockey coach. In only 4 states is the school president the highest paid state employee which includes Bodnar. In 5 states it’s either a dean or a chancellor which includes the Dakotas. In Nevada it’s the med school plastic surgeon. That’s of June of this year.

The highest paid state employee in any state should not be the coach of a college sports team…
You are right but they are and that is just how it is...for now.

Who should be the highest paid state employee?

Well we could start with increasing the pay of frontline public workers such as teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, etc. and other public workers that work to provide a direct public benefit but hey, football is more important than all of those things and that would probably be socialism anyways so I will just shut my mouth

Everything about Mulligans was horrible. I had a friend use a Mulligan at Mulligans and she lactated on his face. Still one of the grossest things I've ever seen firsthand.

That place was awesome

thanks, not trying to shut you down. But increasing the pay isn’t the same as top paid. What person or position should be top paid?
Edit
I have the same general reaction, but the try to reason through it amd it’s tough. There are probably no real democracy where the highest paid state employee is not an entertainment figure - and probably that is the only way democracy survives.

Think about what that means. - of the governor is highest paid than that reeks of royalty. Attorney General (highest ranking first responder (police power) in the state? No, no high powered attorneys get into public office without being solely motivated by politics (power). Superintendent of public schools? Ok maybe, would you be ok if our current Sup was the highest paid public official? My guess is no. Secretary of State, protecting democracy?

Not sure who should make more than the person who proves the best entertainment per $ without ruining democracy?

Damn! Philosophically, and I don't want to make the Calipari analogy. That man openly recruits kids for his one and done basketball program by simply telling them: "Come play for Kentucky for a year and you'll be taken care of the rest of your life. You can Iive well off the interest."

Babe Ruth said it best when comparing his salary to the president. It bothers me that Waded is the highest paid individual in the state of Montana.

Everyone you name is generally an elected official, aside from Secretary of State. I agree that elected officials should not be the highest paid public employees either. In Montana where we don't pay football or basketball coaches millions the issue isn't as blatant but I think in general universities or state government could put some of those millions to better use by improving things for students/student-athletes, teachers/professors, reduced tuition, and probably a million other things. All of this isn't to say that coaches shouldn't be compensated well because, especially at bigger schools, they bring in a lot of revenue and often times the image of a school runs parallel to their programs. I have no idea what the correct formula is, I just think there should be a little more equity…
