I doubt he will, but, again, don't know the facts. But, this is a reason for Haslam to have been vague and cautious at first.

Would there be policy or prohibition against a UM employee using a UM cell phone to text an escort agency? I suppose there may be some vague and general provision that could be broad enough. Are escort services, or the prostitution part, legal in Las Vegas? They are certainly tolerated. While I assume he wasn't just texting and not following up, some people may just get someone to go to dinner with. That's the way some were in the old old days, I think.

Anyway, based the article, it seems that there were enough reasons to force him out, and certainly to not renew (if that's what was coming). However, in MT, there is a separate violation for the way someone is terminated, i.e. "wrongful" in the way it was done.
 
I have to believe that the texting he did with the players was innocuous enough not to warrant termination because that is pretty easy evidence to retrieve, review and consider. In the end, there must have been enough grey area that outright termination would have been improper under his contract.
 
Pretty sure you are issued a business phone for business purposes. So unless he was recruiting escorts, it would be misuse of University property and funds.
 
I'm CONFUSED HERE? I've known Mark as a very good neighbor and have also known many of the soccer girls and no one has said anything but great words about Mark! I just pray Gee isn't on another one of her Jordon Johnson witch hunt's? She likes to jump first and ask questions later. I 'm really not sure why she was even consulted on the matter given her attitude towards males in sports? Remember "slow water runs deep!" Please give the man his day in court before you judge him.. And I'm not talking about that fake little kangaroo court out there that should be done away with!!! Best wishes to Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i wonder how this would have been dealt with if the coach had been female(bqm) we'll never know, but i suspect... differently.

Well, there's some gray area there. For example, using your business phone to make a dentist appointment or to call and find out if your car is ready at the shop are not technically "business purposes," but they're often/usually tolerated.

But I think the guy is probably smart enough to realize how a district court judge would likely view this.

argh! doesn't really fit neatly into gender/species/planetary conventions.
 
to bring this back to football, isn't responding to 'personal ads' in las vegas kinda like going for it on fourth and ten, in your own territory(bqm)

i'm a little lost here. isn't reaching the water table a great thing, i.e. drilling the well was successful(bqm). you have something against penquan (bqm, + penquan is chinese for...)
