Why do you guys insist on calling them kids? That's so ridiculous. Does it make you feel mature and distinguished? Most of the MEN on the field are educated experienced men. They have gone through difficulties and hardships including one being accused of rape and facing jail time being tried as an adult but you call them kids. Seriously? Wtf

I mean their argument for them maybe being beaten or maybe winning is that they're "kids" it's disrespectful and half these "kids" are twice the size of anyone on here. It seems stupid to call them kids. They're not kids by any stretch

It's really not that big of a deal. But if it is, I guess we'll have to change the fight song to "Up With Montana, Men"

I didn't know that the song was up with montana kids... Dang guess I've been saying it wrong. Boys and kids aren't the same thing. I bet if a woman walked up to a group of middle aged men and said hey boys, no one would say anything. But if she said hey, kids, it might rub you the wrong way. I'm sorry that you "men" with your middle aged "lessons" and "experience" feel the need to classify them as "kids" but fact of the matter is I would bet most of them are more educated and intelligent than most on this board and also carry around more responsibility now then most on this board ever will.

Regardless I'm just raising the point because the argument that anything can happen to kids is a flawed one. Anything can happen in college football and same with pro football. It seems incredibly derogatory to say "well we could lose cuz they're just a buncha kids"

lmao I'm 25, and I don't think it's a big deal. :lol: Heck, I even call them kids from time to time. this is seriously a stupid thing to be worried about whether college students would want to be called kids or boys or men.

Because NONE of them are are older than my oldest two KIDS. But all are older than my youngest two KIDS.

OK, I'll give you a logical answer. People use "kid" as a relative term, when you're 18 you consider 10 year olds to be kids, when you're 30 you consider 18 year olds to be kids, when you're 50 you consider almost everybody under 25 to be "kids", it's just as you get older you have a different view of what youth really is. I don't think college "kids", and that is the accepted term, should be insulted being referred to as "kids" because the reality is they are still young, still in school, still dependent on others emotionally and financially, still use their parents insurance, and most of them can't even legally drink yet. My daughter is 22 and attends UM, and I still consider her a kid because we're still guiding her and she isn't self-sufficient yet, and I'm pretty sure she's ok with that.

You might be overthinking this, I know a couple people who always called me kid until I was in my 30's...because to them I guess I was a kid, didn't bother me...actually felt kind of good.

I only skimmed thru all these posts, But I get where the Griz fans are coming from. So lets just say that EWU/NAU/Griz all win this weekend. That puts EWU and NAU tied for BSC title. EWU gets auto-bid for SOS. NAU at #2 in BSC due to WIN over UM. That puts UM at #3 in BSC standings at 10-2, great fricking record, but will it be enough to get them in a top 8 ranking?? I don't think so being a #3 out of BSC. Even if NAU losses, the Griz and NAU still have the same conference record at 2 losses, and the Griz lost to NAU. My opinion, no matter what, the Griz will NOT be in the top 8 at 10-2, call ne crazy!!
