Blgs Griz Fan said:DM is good for a pic six and a few balls on the ground almost every game. He is not an intelligent enough qb to know when to get rid of the ball. Just look at the safety against the Griz in 2011.
JJ is smart enough to know when a play is over and it is time to get rid of the ball. That is just one huge difference between the two.
It's good to see the cat fans took the bait hook, line and sinker as usual.

DM was getting sacked, he made the right decision. If he takes the sack it's a no-brainer safety, if he throws it away, he at least has the chance of the refs not making the correct call of intentional grounding.
DM is a good player and by all accounts an even better person. I hate the Cats as much as anybody, but I don't hate any Cat player.
I would still take JJ over DM, for a few reasons, #1 being I'm biased.
Absolutely. I would take both Delaney and JJ over ole "one and done" Ash and "pick 6" Mcghee any day of the week myself! :lol:Blgs Griz Fan said:I never said I do not like McGhee. My opinion is based on watching him play and watching how he continually tries to make a play when there is not play to be had. That is one reason he has the bad of record with turnovers.
I remember last year Ash was all upset about turnovers and the coaching staff was going to do something about it. I suspect he saw his star qb was a major contributor to the turnover problem. Ash then changed his tune and said turnovers are just part of the game.
JJ knows when a play is over and is smart enough to get rid of the ball. I'll take JJ over McGhee any day of the week and twice on Saturday.
bigsky33 said:DM ran for his life last year with that offensive line. He had to rush a lot of passes. Yes, there was concern with the turnovers. But, anyone with a knowledge of football would see that they weren't all on him. Despite all that they had a 9-2 record and he is on his way to being the all -time best QB at MSU. Lot's of coaches and media people around the country apparently agree as he is on the Payton watch list along with the numerous other awards he has won so far in his career at MSU. Blngs Griz Fan your not a good judge of talent and blinded by bias.

and JJ was a first year starter as a soph and your seasoned vet QB is worse?
Can we revisit this stat after next season?

Hammer what are you smoking? He was worse in that one category. Don't you think the offensive line the Cat's had has something to do with that? Despite that, he won numerous awards in the BSC and FCS. Maybe JJ will do better this year. But, as I have been saying, let the season begin. We will see at the end of the season. That is what counts. Yes, let's revisit at the end of the season. All this smack on here doesn't mean sh-t!
