Gazette - QB Rankings

To whom it may concern:

Please do not judge all of Griz Nation by the stupidity in this thread.

Sincerely,

Those of us with our heads removed from our anus.

Well IntuitiveGriz certainly lives up to his namesake:

in·tu·i·tive
inˈt(y)o͞oitivSubmit
adjective
adjective: intuitive
1.
using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning; instinctive.

DM is good for a pic six and a few balls on the ground almost every game. He is not an intelligent enough qb to know when to get rid of the ball. Just look at the safety against the Griz in 2011.
JJ is smart enough to know when a play is over and it is time to get rid of the ball. That is just one huge difference between the two.
It's good to see the cat fans took the bait hook, line and sinker as usual.

DM was getting sacked, he made the right decision. If he takes the sack it's a no-brainer safety, if he throws it away, he at least has the chance of the refs not making the correct call of intentional grounding.

DM is a good player and by all accounts an even better person. I hate the Cats as much as anybody, but I don't hate any Cat player.

I would still take JJ over DM, for a few reasons, #1 being I'm biased.

DM did make the right decision on that play. I think Bilngs Griz Fan is the one who lacks intelligence. DM is a very smart guy, both on the field and in the classroom. You don't have the success he has had in both areas by not having intelligence!

I never said I do not like McGhee. My opinion is based on watching him play and watching how he continually tries to make a play when there is not play to be had. That is one reason he has the bad of record with turnovers.
I remember last year Ash was all upset about turnovers and the coaching staff was going to do something about it. I suspect he saw his star qb was a major contributor to the turnover problem. Ash then changed his tune and said turnovers are just part of the game.
JJ knows when a play is over and is smart enough to get rid of the ball. I'll take JJ over McGhee any day of the week and twice on Saturday.

Absolutely. I would take both Delaney and JJ over ole "one and done" Ash and "pick 6" Mcghee any day of the week myself!

I just don't get the DM bashing going on by this board. Will someone OTHER than AG1 provide some factual information as to why DeNarius McGhee is such a bad quarterback. Cause here's what I know..He's 2-1 in the Griz-Cat game with 2 wins at Wash-Griz including as a frosh. And I don't give a rats how he actually played in the games, he's the QB and they get the credit when they win and the blame when they lose. Just like head coaches. I also know he's a two-time Big Sky Offensive MVP, including once as a frosh. People like to spout off about how much talent there is in the Big Sky, well apparently DM must be pretty damn talented to finish ahead of the rest of the talent in this conference when it comes to that award. He's also a three-time FCS All-American. He's shattered many MSU passing records with a year to go and it's no coincidence that the MSU program is in better shape during his run as the starter than it's maybe ever BEEN! And yes, I'm well aware that MSU hasn't went to a semifinal under McGhee. I've watched every one of his playoff games. And he deserves some blame in that. But a bad QB because of it? NOPE. Not true. This bashing of McGhee is pretty much as ridiculous as when Cats' fans used to try and tell us Marc Mariani wasn't as good as we all thought he was.

I guess it is for me. I am a Vikes fan and despise the Packers. But I also like to think I actually understand the sport a little and I think I'd look like a moron running around spouting off about how bad Brett Favre sucked in his prime. Not a big fan of the Patriots either, but Tom Brady looks pretty damn good to me. Point it, I think you can despise your rival without the blinders. But hate away.

DM ran for his life last year with that offensive line. He had to rush a lot of passes. Yes, there was concern with the turnovers. But, anyone with a knowledge of football would see that they weren't all on him. Despite all that they had a 9-2 record and he is on his way to being the all -time best QB at MSU. Lot's of coaches and media people around the country apparently agree as he is on the Payton watch list along with the numerous other awards he has won so far in his career at MSU. Blngs Griz Fan your not a good judge of talent and blinded by bias.

There is a huge difference between being on the Payton watch list and being a Payton finalist. Enter JJ.

and JJ was a first year starter as a soph and your seasoned vet QB is worse?

Can we revisit this stat after next season?

Hammer what are you smoking? He was worse in that one category. Don't you think the offensive line the Cat's had has something to do with that? Despite that, he won numerous awards in the BSC and FCS. Maybe JJ will do better this year. But, as I have been saying, let the season begin. We will see at the end of the season. That is what counts. Yes, let's revisit at the end of the season. All this smack on here doesn't mean sh-t!

Yes some people on here do that but others can't manage to get their head out of their a-- and get real. They think they really know what they are talking about--it's like the song "Blinded by The Light".
