Many of you need to go back to school and study Supply and Demand. It doesn't matter where you have the game, if a few thousand want to fly from any of the Montana cities, the prices will increase dramatically. Simple Demand for the seats. If the airlines add flights for that set of dates, those are also pricey, as those resources have to come from someplace. They weren't sitting idle on a tarmac waiting for the Demand.

Would prices to Vegas be cheaper for anyone outside of Montana? Probably. But you are wrong if you think flights to Vegas would be cheaper from Missoula just because that flight is $100 on any other day of the year.

I don't think anyone would expect to pay $100 to get to vegas if the Cats or Griz were playing in a national championship there. Prices would certainly go up as thousands would be trying to get there. But I still think it's be cheaper than flying from here to Dallas in the same situation.

When I went to Frisco for the Cat game I spent over $900 per ticket for myself and my two sons. I don't see any scenario where I would spend that much per ticket flying from Bozeman to Vegas. Would I expect a $100 flight like I can get nearly anytime the rest of the year? Of course not. But I have done enough traveling to know that I've never seen an airline raise their rates 8-10x normal. Even $400 to $500 I could see and I think even that's a stretch. But I don't think there is anyway flying from anywhere in Montana to Las Vegas would costs as much as flying into Dallas.

The Vegas hotels that sponsor so many venues would be offering great package deals. Way better then $2200+ per person. No toll ways to drive on in Vegas either. Everything a person (Most) wants to do can be reached by public transportation.

We were watching the Michigan Washington game at a local bar and a guy came over to your table and thanked us for coming down to Texas.

He works for the city of Frisco and his duties were directly involved in the bid for that contract. He said they are exercising their option for next year and have applied to keep the game in Frisco until 2030

If everything, including the charters hotels, were in Frisco, it MIGHT be okay. All the charter packages put you in Dallas, at least half an hour by bus/car/uber from Frisco. There was NOTHING walkable from our hotel ... and Frisco and the 'Griz bars' were a long way away. In Chattanooga, virtually everything was within walking distance of our hotel, including the stadium.

Frisco, at least the part that I saw from my hotel to the stadium, seemed like one of those big commercial developments that got roughed in and 50% built but then stalled after a market crash.

Snapdragon is on a trolley line from downtown San Diego, maybe barely north of the perfect capacity, and there’s supposed to be some infrastructure being built near the stadium. The climate, ick.

So you liked it when it was in Huntington, a home game for Marshall and nearly impossible to fly into. Got it. It was a coincidence that Chattanooga was not a playoff team when it was there and you had to fly into Nashville or Altlanta. There were not a lot of hotels close to the stadium there as I recall we always had to drive from a suburb hotel. I favor equity for the teams and their travel for their shot at a NC over fans whining about their experience indicating it was not about the game for them. Part of the reason Frisco was selected was to avoid home games for the NC game. The fans that were there for the game as a priority thought Frisco was perfect. Equitable location, easy flight connections and plenty of Ubers and car rentals. None of your proposed sites are comparable.

...and if it's about the game which it should be... none of these locations have a stadium the quality of the one in Frisco!

Frankly, the whole thing is being ran pretty poorly, despite them hosting for several years now. It seems like quite a few people who would have traveled did not due to the cost and the difficulty in getting a ticket. But, let's just say you're QB club or GSA and were able to get tickets. That's great, but you don't get to pick where you're sitting and you get to wait wondering if you're sideline, endzone, etc. But don't worry, some person, at some point, will allocate the seats and let you know where you'll be.

Ultimately, the venue is just too small, which contributes (albeit not the sole reason) to the prices being so bad. Additionally, the location is not convenient for any of the northern teams (you know, the ones who actually make the championship). Vegas is at least a cheap flight, good transportation in the city, and good venue. It makes so much more sense.

I'm going, and I know it will be a fun time, but it's all a little absurd.

The game is actually full, which creates an atmosphere.

Move it to a larger stadium, and it looks like any other meaningless bowl game.

I thought the venue was fine, this is my first time stepping foot in the central time zone outside of an airport... So not too surprising I wasn't impressed with the city. Friendly people and good food. Had lunch at Whistle Britches and dinner at Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse.

I don't think it's the venue being too small (most years), that is the problem. It's NCAA selling tickets so early so the ticket resale sites can make extra money. It wouldn't be all that difficult. Just put tickets on sale after the last game. Each school could send out the code to quarterback member club types and they would get first shot at tickets on AXS. The next day open up to general public. University shouldn't even be a middleman other than getting names of people with first priority.

Give each team more tickets in their allotments. Those are the people that actually want to go, and cuts out the middle man resale BS . Who bought the resale ones? SDSU and Griz fans that is who.!!!!...just let them buy them at face value the week after the last semifinal game. The pre-buy then sell when your team doesn't make it just makes money for people not really fans of the teams playing and third party "fees" .

It's these god damned whiny fans who aren't in it for the football (like you and I are) that ruin everything. A good fan experience for me is no tailgating with friends before, during, or after the game. I'm there to watch football; not social hour at a regional sales convention. No music. No cheering. We play one 60-minute period with no breaks. If anyone is seen taking their eyes off the field for more than thirty seconds, they will be thrown out.

Oh, you want more bathrooms? Tough! Hold it. This game is brought to you by Big Adult Diaper, that wants to expedite your incontinence later in life (smart). Oh, you want shorter concession lines? Tough! The good fans are there to watch the football game, not do something that keeps them alive. Oh, you want cell service to meet up with friends after the game? Tough! Las Vegas wouldn’t solve my main issues, but would better. A city like Boise would be great, but not in winter or for air access.

A pretty "western centric" position.

Aren't most of the very top teams from the West (and Dakotas)? The top 5 are from MT, Dakotas and Idaho. 6 of top 8. 9 of top 16 from MV and Big Sky conferences. I think only 1 remaining FCS team (Youngstown) has been in the championship game in the last 10 years other than Big Sky and MV (and those were all MV and Big Sky teams in MT and WA.
