Don't care what other people do, but as for me, here are my thoughts....egrizzers are a bunch of gas bags. We get on here and talk and throw out opinions like they mean something. They do not. Sugar coaters and growler1's have no bearing on the performance or ability of the team. I would hope that Delaney would not give two rats asses about what any of us think.
Bingo.
If we are a bunch of gas bags, then why the hell are you on here, are you a gas bag?
So Brint you agree with this too? Then that means you view yourself as a gas bag too. Most people think you post intelligent stuff, and some think that you just have too much time on your hands.
Jay - I think Stubbins had a pretty good reply, but I did want to put this into my own thoughts too. I didn't mean to offend anyone with agreement of Stubbins's original post.
I think in the eyes of the players, administrators, and coaching staff all posters on this message board are gas bags in the sense that our comments, opinions, and ideas shared on here have little to no bearing on their decisions and planning. So in that sense, yes, we all are gas bags - the conversations in here have just as much influence on the team as fan comments shouted out at the games, comments passed along in passing, or made via email/facebook among each other.
I like to think my stuff has relevance for the fan base, but I have zero expectation that it goes any further than that. I post on here because I enjoy the discussion among the fans and talking about the team, the conference, FCS, football, the ups and the downs, etc. Egriz gives me a great outlet to get all of my thoughts out on this. And that's all I expect, interaction with fans.
As for those that think I have too much time on my hands, that might be a possibility. I usually work on my scouting posts for days when I find time (or on other larger posts). Aside from egriz I do work in a sales team full time, up until last year I was also a 3/4 student at the UM, I'm heavily involved in the local and state Realtor Association volunteer leadership (will be board president in 2014, was also in 2010), I've got 3 kids, one of which has autism and requires extra attention and has a very busy schedule. I'm a multi-tasker by nature and I don't sleep that much. :thumb:
