Why would anyone be happy he's brought us back to the middle of the pack in the BSC? Even you guys can compete with us now that's how far we have backslid...............

How f'in bad is it when Griz fans are now celebrating barely winning and having no chance of winning the BSC. Celebrate mediocrity all you want - I won't be joining you ass kissing ingrates. If you think this team is well coached - then you are smoking crack. Our defense is awful and just imagine next year when we lose three seasoned linebackers. Mick Delaney is a nice man who did a great job cleaning up the program. He is a mediocre coach and it shows (his assistants are mediocre as well). Nothing about this team says - domination, especially the o-line. Good God - some of you bastards are starting to sound like Can't fans. We should make the playoffs maybe - does'nt that sound great! Holy hell. Embarrassing.

Seriously, the head coach is not responsible for having coaches in place that know how to teach fundamental tackling, knowing when to use timeouts, etc. etc.... etc!havgrizfan said:

This will be my only post in this entire thread. I can remember in 2009 (one of our championship runs) when we had several games that could have easily been losses, that just happened to go our way.
2009 Season
Pt 1 - Vs UC Davis, the game went down to the last play, and Davis almost tied it with no time left on the clock. Trumaine Johnson picked a pass and ended the game, however, it could have gone the other way had Davis tied it and sent the game into overtime.
Pt 2 - Vs NAU we went into overtime, and barely won in a shootout that ended with a score of 41-34. Another game that really could have gone either way, and one in which the Griz didn't "DOMINATE".
Pt 3 - Vs EWU. Yet another game we didn't "DOMINATE" under the direction of Bobby Hauck, where we had to gut out a hard fought game, winning 41-34.
Pt 4 - Vs ISU. Hapless ISU had us against the ropes late in the game. I think there was just over two minutes left in the game, and we were down 10-9 vs a TERRIBLE ISU. We had to march the length of the field, and relied on a Brody McKnight field goal to win 12-10.
My point is that we sometimes over glorify the past championship run seasons, as if we didn't have issues in those seasons similar to what we are facing this year. Mick Delaney has players that think the world of him, and would likely go to hell and back to get a win for him. Maybe he's not the "best coach" money can buy, but Bobby had his flaws as well. WE could have easily lost some of those games, and were lucky to escape with wins. The ball bounced our way in those ones, and unfortunately, it didn't bounce our way in a couple games this year. Both the NAU and EWU games were tough losses, but we were never out of those games even though we were outcoached and outplayed the majority of the game. We fell just short of a glorious comeback vs #3 EWU. Pretty cool if you ask me. Shoot, had we not shot ourselves in the foot several times in that one we probably would have won. Vs NAU, we had 2 scoop and scores go the other way, one of which was on the 1 yard line when we were about to score. I don't think this Griz team is that different from the Griz teams of the past. They have there ups and downs, but usually find a way to win. We found a way to win tonight! We are 7-2 and probably in the playoffs if we beat USD next week! We have to face the reality that every season we will not go undefeated, and will face some adversity. This Griz team has responded to adversity well, and I expect great things will happen over the next 4 weeks. Even if we were to somehow lose all four of our final games of the season and miss the playoffs, however, I will still bleed Maroon!
