As for the $30 or $35 million facility, I view that as unnecessary and unrealistic. Can’t imagine that amount could be raised. And mainly for minor sports?

What are they thinking? The new performance center took forever to fund, and cost $14 million. It still really isn’t paid for, is it?

Set a realistic goal for something much less expensive.

PlayerRep makes a good point regarding the time frame and cost to raise the $35m for the multiple sport facility. However Kent has been successful in raising funds in the past and I don’t think he would have taken on this project unless he felt there was the possibility of success. After all he is virtually betting his job on it. And it’s conceivable that like the bobcats it will be built in stages. Perhaps it’s time for Kent to pull the curtain back and expose the full Monte to the Griz faithful?

And thanks to ABQCat for explaining the plans that the cats are pursuing towards improving their facility. Aggressive no doubt but success on the field demonstrates the ability to raise money. The new AD in Bozeman, Leon Costello comes from a very successful program at SDSU where they did some great things with their facilities due in large part to their success on the field and the hardwood.
We’re now up to 17 commits as of 8:39 am on Monday morning. Come on Griz fans we have only 43 more to go before Wednesday’s deadline.

Get a temporary bubble to use as an indoor practice facility, until you can raise the money for the actual one that has all the bells and whistles. Take a look at the bubble msu just put up to replace their rec center that collapsed last year. That would work for now until the actual one comes into fruition.

I'd be in, even though I agree it's a ways off. I'd rather have them build a first-class, multi-use indoor facility anyway, so that's not a bad thing, but I do agree perhaps an influx of designated donations can only help. Perhaps an inquiry first to Kent about whether they already have an account earmarked for the indoor facility that donors could add to?

I guess I understand the peeper ponds given that your HC runs that MILF camp, but what does the bold mean? Do you mean windows? Or are they building a moat?
