Dude, it’s been like 50 years and your still coming up with excuses. Quit your whining ya cry baby.

So about 4 times longer than you’ve been alive? Go do a line dance to the school fight song. Ya know that one about cotton eye Joe?? Of course you do.

You definitely did not attend either university. You write like you watch a lot of pro wrestling.

Nothing warms my heart more than when bubs come here to catsplain how their silly song and dance actually proves that it’s the Griz who are ones obsessed with them, and not the other way around.

That chant is the equivalent of the little kid on the playground spewing out all the profanities he knows in a bid to impress all the big kids. Meanwhile the big kids are laughing and patting him on the head, and the little kid thinks he's winning.

Very good description, Mom. "You showed 'em, you did. You swore your little heart out, kiddo."

Question... So, lets hypothetically say someone (A Bobcat Fan) was invited to a "Gender Reveal" party that was being held on the field at grizzly stadium. Said person wore a Bobcat Polo and Mask (for this example, the reveal was during Covid).. Said person didn't start any "ESGGCG" chants, or really talk to much smack (For this example the person light heartedly joked around with the fellow griz guests... and maybe recreated a Logan Jones run into an endzone that may have won a game for the Cats...). Is this type of behavior considered "OK' by fans of either team? Again, this is totally hypothetical. Just trying to see where the line is between, fun rival type antics and head shaking embarrassment...

I need a few more details to answer you question:

Was it the bobcat fan who was revealing their gender?

Who is Logjam Jones?

The cats won a game??

Cats will be back on the win column this year and the new world order will be restored. The conversation will center on how the Gris have only managed one solitary win in seven calendar years leading into next year's Brawl. Sad state of affairs for a once proud program.

Cats will immediately come up with excuses as to why they lost the game such as "Our back up players were better, but didn't play!" or "That fake field goal for a touchback worked perfectly in practice, why did it fail during the game?" or "At least we were preseason champs!"

I wonder if the games with the bobcats should be a continued tradition for the Griz. During the streak, I said many times that I thought the Griz domination was not a good thing. In retrospect, I was wrong but hindsight tells me that the streak should have been used at the time to move UM to a different league away from the inferior “rival.

This weekend, I went to Billings for my niece’s (actually, my niece’s daughter) wedding. She married a former bobcat defensive star. What I encountered was an escape from reality and an absolute mass insanity rally. It was not a wedding; it was more like a jr high pep rally. In attendance were a number of former bobcat players and a full contingency from bobcat nation. It was a Catholic wedding with all of the pomp and circumstance expected. The unexpected was the focus on bobcat football. It started with the priest proclaiming that the groom would be in the NFL if not for Covid. It was something I heard again throughout the night. Their reasoning was that the groom had been the best defensive player for the bobcats and therefore would have dominated the NFL if not for Covid. He was a very good college player and has good reason to be proud but being the best bobcat does not suggest NFL domination.

This was a wedding but the night was saturated with chants of “Fu@& the Griz” and “Eat S5!% Griz”. They broke out in anti-Griz chants while singing songs and simulated football moves on the dance floor in “eat S^*$ Griz” unison. Even the bride (yes, my relative) incorporated “Fu@& the Griz” into her reception speech. It was absolutely deranged as the Griz consumed their minds. The level of inadequacy and inferiority that dominates bobcat nation minds is absolutely insane and demented. You could walk by any group of guests to hear a wild discussion on the Griz. My wife introduced ourselves to the groom who instead of thanking us for coming, went into his regret for us living in Griz country and being Griz fans (we did not mention Griz or bobcats all night).

We finally left early as the crowd went into yet another chant of “eat SH!7 Griz”. It was the most insane thing I have ever seen. Their sense of inferiority and hatred is not healthy and potentially dangerous. What a wedding to remember! The absolute mind control the Griz have over bobcat nation is beyond reason. I had never before realized how absolutely consumed bobcat nation is with the Griz as I am accustomed to the Griz fanbase focusing more on our own team and the rivalry with EWU and Weber as well as the bobcats.

They are less fans of their own team than they are consumed by hatred for the Griz and this gets me back to my earlier comment that I don’t think the Griz/bobcat rivalry should be continued. It simply is not healthy for bobcat nation and does not benefit our State. The bobcat fanbase is out of control with their derangement and hatred. They will never make it to the next level with their current state of mind. It is in the best interest of our state and the mental health of bobcat nation to let the Griz move on while the bobcats heal their minds and reach a level of maintained, healthy competition. They have done well lately and with the Griz moving on and no longer consuming their minds, perhaps they can heal.

Sadly, this is completely believable. How many times have Cat fans chanted such slogans when they are playing other schools. That is so weird and (in my opinion) unhealthy.

It's cool that the Griz live in their mind, but at this point it is dangerous and may result in violence.

😂😂😂😂 it is so satisfying knowing how much FTG, Eat shit grizzlies go cats go and Poooor grizzlies bothers the Griz faithful. Nothing better then getting under the skin of the most delusional fan base in college football. See you douche bags in Bozeman, can’t wait!

Do you know how much Griz' Fans think of the Bobcats when we are not playing them? The answer is we don't. At no time other than direct competition do we think of the cats. Do you realize how disturbed it would be if we did?

Well, the gender reveal is about 10 years late, so I'm not surprised that a Bobcat fan was in attendance. Those are like a step above potlucks and a step below tractor pulls at the county fair for them. I'd have to know who Logan Jones is before I really make a determination. I doubt any Griz fan who was forced to attend cared about any reenactment because the real action was to see which color the powder would be when Trixie tossed that balloon to Randy holding the wiffle bat.

Your wedding story doesn't surprise me at all. I've lost track of the number of times Bobcat fan friends of mine have introduced me to someone in their circle by saying something like, "This is my friend, he's a UM graduate and Griz fan," and then the 'round the horn barrage of insults begins: "Still losing thousands of students every year? What's your degree in, underwater basket weaving? Raped anyone on campus lately? No means no, go Cats go, amiright? You know, you can't spell 'dumb' without UM!"

These people are grown ups, stuck in a 13 year-old boy's awkward and desperate "look how cool and funny I am" phase. It's not insulting, it's pathetic. I'm actually kinda sad and embarrassed for them.

And they say such things completely disregarding their cocaine ring that killed someone...

Like a lot of Montanans, I’ve attended both universities, so I’ve had pleeeennty of contact with cat fans. And I gotta say the sh!# bobcat fans spew is not normal. It’s weird. It’s weird to be playing South Dakota State or Austin Peay and chant about the Griz. I keep telling my bobcat friends they, as a fanbase, have to grow up because it’s embarrassing. I’m embarrassed for them. I don’t think any other fanbase in the country is so obsessed with their rival. Get over it little brother.

Exactly!

Here is an easy question for you.

what do you consider is worse, the msu bobcat fan base chanting esggcg at a sporting event, or Montana grizzlies posters starting random derogatory trolling topics every other day on the egriz message board about the bobcats when the time between the last game was Nov. 20th 2021 and the next game is Nov. 19th 2022.

Search ‘cats’ or ‘bobcats’ or any other words that hurt your feelers right here on egris and you’ll find hundreds of topics started by gris lovers that are crying about what the Bobcats do. Hundreds.

Is that an exercise you would say you engage in frequently? It might be a lot easier if you just admit that you're obsessed with the Griz so you can watch your Vin Diesel action movies in peace.
