you're off your rocker dude. i'd say, so far, that 2506 and i don't believe they are equal and you believe they are. i don't see anyone else (edit: bdizzle is on our side) weighing in, so quit making stuff up. the crimes weren't the same (i.d. vs. pushing police), how the school handled it wasn't the same (walking the criminals to the lawyer office vs. sacking them within three days), and the punishment wasn't the same (suspended from play for an entire track meet vs. one quarter of a game). where do you come up with this stuff??!!!
Pushing police was initially alleged, but there were accounts that they disagreed with the allegation. The eventual minor charge pled to had no element of pushing the police. You are the one who needs to stick to the facts? It appeared to me that what the police said occurred initially turned out not to be true. Thus, all of the initial charges were dropped. UM figured this out fairly quickly, and acted appropriately, in my view. Why do you think all of the initial 3 charges were dropped? Police/prosecutors don't just drop all charges, because an attorney asks them to do that.
If people were saying that Trammel was only defending himself, or others were involved, or he didn't do it, then MSU wouldn't have acted yet--and certainly wouldn't have booted him.
