I've been meticulously combing through the youtube and vimeo archives and have yet to find visual evidence that the cats have ever actually won a NC. At this point I guess we just sort of have to take their word for it. They wouldn't slather "1984" all over Reno Sales field if they hadn't actually won the NC that year...would they? Maybe this whole '84 thing has just been a bobcat mustache ride from the very beginning and no one even thought to call them out on it.

Snap,I really don't think you know what is logical by your posts. And, I do note anger and considerable irritation as a result of my factual post. As for a shitstorm of facts. I supplied just one and that is MSU has won two national championships, the same as the Griz. Now, you guys can try to discredit that and mock it or anything else you want to do. The cats '56 and '76 "titles" (if they even happened) were in lower divisions. Therefore, they don't enter into the discussion at all (except to mock you guys for claiming a tie as a win). It's like if Carroll moved up to FCS tomorrow and advertised themselves as 5 time National Champs. What you did at a pseudo high school level doesn't count for shit at the level you are currently at.

So much for your so-called facts. The Cats do have three NC's but only one in Div-1AA (now FCS) and that was in 1984. The other was in Div II in 1976 while the tie was in 1956 in NAIA. The record books you speak of are only in your mind as even Wikipedia knows the real truth. So by my count and the NCAA's the Griz have 2 FCS National Championships while the Cats have 1.

Thanks. 1976 and 1984 must have been exciting times in Bozeman. A lot of people were still reeling about prohibition and Kennedy being assassinated so they really rallied around the bobcats and forgot about Babe Ruth retiring.
