...My only comment is that over the last 3 years MSU has outperformed both, the only data point that you can find otherwise was that UM made a run to the semifinals before falling to the same team MSU did the week before. To deny it just makes you look silly...

That's what I tried sayin earlier today but I guess you have to type out the numbers to get them to understand. Not to mention (I hate to say it cuz he was on a roll for a long time) but if McNight wouldn't have missed them first 2 attempts, the 2011 team woulda been in the Chipper, again.

So, Snap you must be out drinking or smoking tonight as your posts get more illogical each post. So, the Cats and Griz were both Div II back then and the Cats won a NC. Did UM win a NC back then-NO. So what is the point, as you like to call others, moron. Again, the bottom line is the Cats have won 3 NCs and the Griz 2. And to top it off your illogical mind says that the two NCs you won won't mean shit when and if you move up to the FBS. You're burnt out dude!

Unlike many I don't like claiming the tie, since the NC was awarded by voters, but its a ridiculous assumption that somehow our win in 1976 was any less valuable.

Heck, many of the teams in the D2 playoffs that year are FBS today.

At minimum it's not even an argument that it's 2-2

It's very simple. Just post some video footage from the '84 game and I'll at least grant you the 1. If you can't do that, then how bout some pics from the game (I assume you attended, didn't you?). It was the high point of cat football, but I just haven't been able to verify that it actually occurred. Near as I can tell, the cats most worthwhile accomplishment in the current century has been going 0-11 one year. f***[*] losers!

I'm wondering why those guys don't actually win the job in fall camp then? The MSU depth chart doesn't reflect these assertions by some MSU fans, with the exceptions of season-ending injuries. I've seen people say Coe is better than Gale, Foster and Vunipola better than Na', and more recently Brekke and McQueary are better than them all. Why aren't they winning the starting jobs if they are indeed THE BEST PLAYERS? It makes no sense. I always thought at this level, and especially at MSU, which has supposedly ascended to the second-best program in the FCS, feelings, grade or age weren't considered when it comes to playing time. If McQueary is better than DM, why wouldn't he play? If Brekke is the best running back in camp, why is he listed fourth on the depth chart? Don't the best players on the team play and help win football games?

When they finally got that win... wow, did they ever come out of the woodwork. One would be very hard pressed to find any sCat fan board or even a handful of posts prior to that time. MAYBE one of them remembers 'escribe', but that'd be about it.
