Keep in mind the cats have beat the Griz in 2010 and 2012 with their number 1 qb playing against what should be considered the Griz backup qb's. We all saw the result when it was JJ against DM, 36-10 Griz.

I am glad this recent injury was not career ending.
I always love this argument, what a bunch of bs, 20 other players on the field at the same time, give me a freakin break. Then comes "if JJ was behind the Cat's line or the other way around it would be totally opposite"
So the Cat's D made some major mistakes that game, did that help JJ or did he cause those mistakes. Some will say both, anyway, whatever, not on the field at the same time and just a stupid argument.

So, if you take LBJ out of those games it would not matter to the cats?? Thats the bunch of BS. The fact is the cats squeaked by in both of those games and the Griz were playing their backups. Trust me, if JJ had played in the brawl last year, that game would have been a rout.[/quot

IF this happend or that happend is really lame Hammer. You can give all the IFs you want. Scores are usually close in rivalry games likes this. I remember back in the 90's the Cats only won one game and the griz were on top of the conference and the game went to the last play of the game. Last year the Cat's won. If JJ had played there is no saying what would have happened. If remember right the Cats were missing some players too. Kirk was not 100% and Minter was injured and wasn't a shadow of himself.

But you had your starting QB, right?

JJ will show you what would have happened last year in Nov. If ya think the 2011 game was an asskicking, stay tuned.

I agree. The Griz are going to win this year's game by a MUCH, MUCH bigger margin.

I don't know if they will rush for 477 yards again though!

(one of my best moments of any Brawl was when TBF turned that cat linebacker into absolute ROADKILL!). Damn, I laughed.

477??? The boxscore says 309 rushing yards.

Felt like 477. Just ask a cat safety.

JJ is an excellent QB. But, the Cats also have an excellent QB and a much better and stronger OL this year. Should be a great game in November. As a griz fan your concern should be your coaching staff. Delaney is a great guy but his record on the field is not that good and I have never seen having co-offensive coordinators work.

From what I saw of the first scrimmage, our offense is not going to be a concern. Whatever the OC's are doing - give me another helping please. As far as Delaney goes - well the jury is still out. Honestly 33 - I think you should be worrying more about your own coaches. Their performance in the playoffs is an abomination. Period. No excuses and no bullshit. Ash has not got it done. I would not take Rash as a head coach because he has proven he can't get it done. How many years does the guy need to build the program. It sure did not take Hauck and Pflu as long as Ash has had. They would have been run out of Missoula with the amount of playoff wins Ash has had. Don't give me this BS about winning the BSC either. The Griz have been a dumpster fire two of the last three years and the cants should have been able to win with their hands tied behind their backs. The Griz had new coaches two of those three years. Come on - really. You are questioning our coaches after one year? How long has Ash been at bozo? You have far greater concerns than we do. Your stuck with mediocre mouse and can't get rid of him now and your program is in trouble. That's right - I just laid it out there and made a bold ass prediction. I will eat my words if this does not come to fruition. Your program is going backwards in the next few years and at best will be right where you have been. Stuck in neutral with the gear shift between your legs. I have heard you and other cant fans bitch about our players and now it is the coaches. Well - bitch away and lull yourselves into a false sense of security. Fine by me, but when you get bitched slapped back to reality don't come meowing around here looking for a warm saucer of milk - because it will be sour.

The Cat program is not in trouble by a long shot. Hauck and Phflu inherited a much, much stronger program than Ash. Yes, Ash and staff need to do better in the playoffs. We caught SHSU in the quarterfinals and lost and you got them the next week in the semis and lost. They were a formidable team for sure. However, I agree we should have done better. We had another great recruiting year in 2013 and the program is getting stronger. You guys have an interim coach that has not ever had great results and you lose four scholarships for the next four years and a lot of excellent players to graduation this year. I would say you guys have the program in trouble.

Uh not a better line then the griz. And a ton of universities have run co coordinators. Including Texas, Texas am, Nebraska, Ohio state, cal, Marshall use too, Arizona state. Apparently you don't watch the ncaa much. Espn had a few big things on it like 5 years ago during bowl season !

Delaney is going to be fine at this point. A few obvious blunders last year in the midst of all that was going on, but no new coach is going to thrive under all that. I can think of plenty of mistakes by PFlu and Bobby even after they were established. And two questions: when did Booger become Bugger? Second, and getting back to the topic, could the rash of Cat injuries be related to the switch from Nike to UA shoes??? Just sayin. Don't think about when your out there. But seriously. Could it be?

We will see. Let the games begin. And, if you don't think losing four schollies over the next four years will greatly deplete your depth your being delusional. Especially when it comes to giving partials. Again, you guys lose a lot of excellent players this year. Having and interim coach is a tough sell on recruits. I think you lost Brekke and Roderick due to that. I think you guys need to to face the reality that your future is not what you are fantasizing about.

Has not appeared to hurt us to bad picking up transfers from Marshall, Boise St. and UW. I think we will be just fine and those kids transferred to a program with a "interim coach". I will take any of the three over Brekke and Roderick, which hurts to say since they are Montana kids.

Where did you ever get the idea that Delaney is an interim coach??

Haven't we been averaging about 60 scholarships the past few years. The loss of 1 additional scholarship isn't that big of a deal.

Yeah I thought I read where we were at 59 this year. Could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.

I think one interesting statistic that should be looked into is the number of preseason player injuries under Ash versus other cat coaches. I don't follow the cats much but it sure seems they are dropping like flies over in Bozo. Could it be the coaches chose not to take advantage of all practices available to them or they opt not to practice when it gets a little too cold, too much snow? Maybe Ash is too soft of coach which explains why he can't perform in the playoffs.
Regarding the qb issue, why are there so many shirts running around Bozo saying "In Denarius we trust" if he is THE key to the cat success?

Copper, are you saying you can build a great program with transfers? And Hammer your saying a coach who is in his 70's and signed a two year contract and already retired once is not an interim coach? What are you guys smoking? And yes, losing four scholarships a year for four years will greatley reduce your depth. Ask any coach and they will tell you that. I think it is you guys that do not have an eff-ing clue about football or your all in denial.
