You guys forget, BIGSKY33 is a Cats fan, and therefor not used to making the playoffs, year after year after year like us, this may be why he thinks the GRIZ, after one bad year, are living in the past expecting another playoff run this year. Also if BIGSKY33 mentions the Cats depth one more time...Im putting my nuts in a meat grinder

I'm not sure what is worse, putting your nuts in a meat grinder or battering them and lowering them into a deep fryer, like snap once mentioned!!  :o

With the right seasonings, either way is delicious!

Coe is very good, all Big Sky player, should not be a huge dropoff there if gale can't return. Hayden Vick is an animal but definitely needs game reps to be an all conference performer. Behind them it might get sketchy. As others have pointed out, this definitely hurts but the Bobcats really do have quality depth now, at most positions. (TE is our scariest position right now with virtually no depth.). You'll see our depth when we start playing games.

Regarding "Body Bag" games... that's a myth. Ash states that injuries are more likely when you play down rather than up, and I believe him.
He hasn't hardly played in a game and he's all big sky lol.

Just listening to what the coaches have said about how good Coe is. At any rate, looks like we'll get to find out about a couple things... How good our depth is and how good Preston is when he returns. Sounds like no surgery, MCL, 4 to 6 weeks. Excellent news for the 5th year senior.

Good news that he'll be back before the end of the season. Injuries always suck, but to a 5th year senior, they're brutal.

Just in, he has a grade 2 MCL tear and will be back by UND.......assuming all goes according to plan!

So, here's hoping for steady recovery and the ability to enjoy his senior year!

Let's not forget that there is a group of students at UM, entering their 4th and final year at UM, who have seen the Griz only make the playoffs once during their time at UM. ;)

Your right, and that one run that they got to see was deeper than the CANTS have got since....well shit I dont even know. And I don't have the time to look that far back.

GOOD POST DUDE :thumb:

You can move the subject matter around to suit your needs, but I was responding specifically to your claim that the Griz are used to making the playoffs year after year... when in fact there are a group of students who at best will have seen their team make the playoffs 2 out of the 4 years they attended UM. And if UM fails to make it this year, that will be just once in 4 years. But the Griz are a lock for the NC if I'm reading the sentiment of this board correctly, so that shouldn't be an issue!

And I would say that "group of students" would be a unique bunch, or out of the norm when it comes to watching football success. Are you trying to debate that the GRIZ not making the playoffs is out of the norm???? :stupid:

I don't think he is trying to debate that the Griz making the playoffs is out of the norm. He is simply taking pleasure in the cants arch rivals struggles over the last few years and the fact that the cants have beaten the Griz and made the playoffs on a regular basis ( granted they should have beaten us by a much greater margin and they have underperformed during the playoffs). Tough to argue his point. The Griz shot themselves in the foot with the coaching changes over the past five years. Bobby leaving was uncontrollable and Pflu's situation was unfortunate. Last year we were young and had very green QB's and the Griz were long, long overdue for a losing season. My God the programs accomplishments are simply incredible. I don't get pissed anymore when Can't fans rub it in our face that we have struggled. I just look FORWARD. Same as they did when we beat the hell out of them for over a decade and one half. I believe this year the team is united and things will likely return to normal in the BSC. Can't fans are about to have their memories jogged and then we can all poke sticks in our rivals eye - just like CWR is doing to us. Clever little kitten dammit.

Keep in mind the cats have beat the Griz in 2010 and 2012 with their number 1 qb playing against what should be considered the Griz backup qb's. We all saw the result when it was JJ against DM, 36-10 Griz.

I am glad this recent injury was not career ending.

That's incorrect. Beating the Cats is a lock, but the championship is only highly probable.

I always love this argument, what a bunch of bs, 20 other players on the field at the same time, give me a freakin break. Then comes "if JJ was behind the Cat's line or the other way around it would be totally opposite"
So the Cat's D made some major mistakes that game, did that help JJ or did he cause those mistakes. Some will say both, anyway, whatever, not on the field at the same time and just a stupid argument.

So, if you take LBJ out of those games it would not matter to the cats?? Thats the bunch of BS. The fact is the cats squeaked by in both of those games and the Griz were playing their backups. Trust me, if JJ had played in the brawl last year, that game would have been a rout.
