Andrew Schimdt nails it. Maybe he should be the next head Griz coach.

Oregon boat raced them and it's true they are FBS level but I seem to remember we beat an FBS team a few years ago so not sure how good they really are. A better d-line would not have let the cats control the ball for the last 7 minutes of the game which lead to the loss.
Oregon is 11-1 and in the FBS playoffs. Washington finished 4-8 and didn't even make a bowl game. Oregon is a vastly better team this year than Washington was in 2021, it pains me to say.

True, but the DL play for the game was pretty good and probably as or better than the Cats. And it more than just the DL on the last drive.
Come again?

MSU never had to blitz, Ah Yat was under consistent pressure, to the point that they were fine with letting UM run the ball because they knew you couldn't pass the ball downfield. If your passing game averages under 6 YPA on over 30 attempts, that's because of phenomenal DL play.

Learn the game.

I could understand this argument from Schmidt if this season went the same way last season did, or if the Griz had gotten completely outclassed by the cats two weeks ago, but this is quite the overreaction from Schmidt. Yes the cat loss sucked, but to act like they just dominated us isn't even remotely close to reality. What I saw was two evenly matched teams that both belonged on the same field. One team played a perfect game, and the other played a near perfect game with 2-3 mistakes that ended up being the difference. That's all that game came down to. None of this major philosophical BS that Schmidt has been crying about all year. The fact of the matter is we're 11-1 with the only loss coming by 3 points, and the ultimate goal is still right there for the Griz, just on a little tougher path now.

And guess what? Now the Griz have an opportunity to do something on Saturday that they haven't done in a decade, and that's beat SDSU who's been the gold standard of the FCS. If we do beat them, then we will most likely get the re-match with the cats and we'll see how that unfolds. If we get by the cats, then we'll find out once and for all if we can actually beat NDSU on a neutral field. What will Schmidt have to say at that point? There's still plenty of Football to be played!
The Cats dominated us on the final drive and we couldn’t do a damn thing about it, despite knowing exactly what was coming. They imposed their will on us when it mattered most. This speaks to exactly why building the trenches is critical for winning a Natty.

I don’t see how anyone can look at the FCS champions for the last 15 years and not acknowledge that dominating line play is the single biggest factor to sustained success.

Well, well, well. You boys certainly flatter me. I appreciate all of your support, even the non ball knowers like Jack and Taber who don’t know shit about anything yet still comment on everything I do. I appreciate your engagement and commitment to being terminally online.

For the record I never have wanted to coach, so for whoever started this thread I am sorry but I am out. Thank you though for wanting the Griz to be better and not failing victim to the cult of mediocre Griz football, of which the leaders are posting on here repeatedly. They seem to be happy with one Big Sky Championship and one National title appearance in 16 years. They also seem pretty content losing to the Cats 7 of 9 years. I am happy that you demand better and are vocal about it to counter these people’s terrible opinions. You are doing great work.

Perhaps if we come together instead of wasting time on this site we can invest in the program and cure some of the previously stated deficiencies. It is certainly better than claiming everything is fine when we have had one good year in 15 and the Cats have owned us for a decade. Or we can cry about my show on here and get dominated for another decade. Your call.

(Also Jack, I have called you out by name repeatedly, especially after that Ass “give the OL some love” post. Listen to the show. I ain’t hard to find.)
Andrew, never knew that. Thanks for heads up. Be prepared the next time we run into each other. Ha. I have always gone soft on you because I have always liked you.

But now I will be freed up to comment and kick your ass on egriz. You may have to feed some stuff to Egriz, so I am not just commenting on what people said you said.

If you really said some of the stuff attributed to you, you were and are wrong. And some of your stuff on egriz today is completely wrong too. You are mostly a critic and opinionated, often with opinions that wrong.

You must have blind spots or have an inflated ego if you think some of the stuff you are saying will help the program. It won’t. And some of it will likely be counterproductive. No one with any influence in the program is going to listen. And your reputation precedes you, further hurting your credibility.

But perhaps you can put together a little group of neggies and get off on each other that way.

I look forward to being able to say what I want about some of your stuff, instead of holding back. I don’t listen to podcasts. Too slow and boring. My brain still moves faster. I tried to listen to the one mentioned in this thread or one after the game, but it was too boring. Too many guys who don’t know much talking about stuff and like they think they are funny. I don’t put you in the category of not knowing much. In fact, I commented positively yesterday on what I heard you say in the early minutes.

As I said long ago, I retired to have more time for egriz. I suppose I could say that I also don’t play golf anymore or play pickleball to have more time for egriz. I do travel a lot and go to big sporting events and am writing 3 “masterpieces”, but other than that and working out, lots of time to support Griz football and devote to egriz and taking on the critics and neggies.

One more thing. I find it funny that, a podcaster and more, calls out Taber
for spending time on egriz.

During the playoffs in 2001, Joe Glenn came over to me in the press box and introduced himself. Said he heard I was “Green26” and wanted to thank for supporting the team so much. After the championship game, I was sent a signed championship poster, signed by many coaches and some players, mostly addressing me as Grren26. That told me that programs notice and appreciate support including on the internet. Let us know if you get an unsolicited signed poster after the season.

My info in Give OL some love came directly from the coaches. You are clueless about this hear’s OL. Just a bigmouth, I guess.

Ah Yat was not under constant pressure. He threw well. Sacked only twice. No, 6 YPS is not B attributable to DL play. That comment is just plan stupid. You learn the game.

You are the poster boy for the problem hoops. You don't get it. You can't grasp it. You refuse to even entertain it. Your ego won't allow it. Did you listen to the podcats? Nope. Why would you?
You are clueless. What a stupid comment. Try to support it without making up stuff. You can’t.

Okay, but that doesn’t justify or explain why the Cats were crushed so badly.

I am no fan of Schmidt, but he just severed the soul of that idiot and it was awesome. He is right on 99% of that post, FTC
Schmidt’s post is completely wrong. Same with most of your posts. No wonder you are attracted to incorrect posts.

Stupid? I don't think so, but not happy with my post for sure, it was uncalled for. You have my apologies, sincerely. You're one of the ergizzers I have the most respect for. I don't always agree with what you say, but do most of the time & know your opinions are well thought out. Schmidt makes some good points that a lot of Griz fans cannot grasp. Not because they're dim wits, but because they're hanging on to the past while the present is skating on past them. He's pretty clear with his message, and without naming names you know who he's talking about. You should take a listen Soldier. My ten cents.
I am critical when something requires criticism.

The Griz have a single blemish and are a couple of plays from being the 2 seed. They have a legit chance to advance in a very tough bracket as the 3 seed in the FCS. They have All-Big Sky players all over the roster...KAY, Wortham, and Eli are friggin explosive...they have guys getting healthy.

I just have a hard time with criticism coming now. It's truly bizarre.

Not sure how you can dismiss him when you don't even know he said. Might want to take a listen before jumping to conclusions.

I find it interesting that Schmidt thinks he knows more about the OL and its play this year than the Griz coaches.
When you see a helicopter in a tree you don’t need to know more than the pilot to know he fucked up.

Also PFF has them ranked lower than all of the cat OL. Do you want more objective proof other than that and the results? Or should I just make up something like “I talked to some coaches and they say the line is bad” like you seem to do? That’s nice and vague and provides a lot of cover. Might use that from now on.

Guys I talked to the Cat coaches and they say Jack doesn’t know anything about OL play.

God that does feel good. I see why you do it!

Taber the only reason I am on this hellsite is because mutual friends text me your posts to every show I do and this one I felt compelled to respond for the one and only time. Again it’s flattering but after listening, liking, and subscribing please fine a different hobby than eGrizzing/tweeting/whatever online activity you do incessantly.

And from the looks of it you seem ok with the last 16 years. For a MAGA as you are you seem to be wanting to give the Griz some sort of handout or participation trophy. I’m sorry but I am not ok with “adequate.” I am not ok with second place. I am not ok with not winning a Big Sky that has 2 good teams and the rest shit, and I am absolutely not ok with losing to the cats 1 time let alone 7 times in 9 years. This is why you and the other cultists are the most detrimental fan that could possibly exist. You are ok with this and you make nonstop excuses for it.

I’m reminded of the scene from Whiplash when JK Simmons says “there are no two words in the English language more harmful than ‘good job.’” If you want to pat the Griz on the head and say “well hey that is fine, you tried your best, you didn’t win anything of consequence but at least you had fun” that is your prerogative. Just know that you and all the others who spew this nonsense are not helping the program. You are actively hurting it.

Thanks for watching the show. I will await the next text of one of your screenshot threads.
SAVAGE!!!!! Bobby is not some infallible Jesus Christ of coaching that does no wrong.

The FCS is a sad, dying relic of a league. If you're not WINNING Natties with a program as well-funded as ours, then you ultimately aren't successful imo.

Helicopter in a tree? Good one. If you see a helicopter in a tree and then talk to the pilot, his superiors, and the authorities, and find out it was a screw up, then it's still a screw up.

Oh, PFF is basically stupid in college. I thought everyone in the know knew that.

You are liar. Ya, you talked to the coaches about that. Haha. But I don't know much about OL play, that's why I talk to the coaches, some players and some former players who actually know OL play. I'm sitting with Chuck Burton at the game tomorrow. He's a good friend. I'm giving my CC tickets to Terry Falcon for next week. As I assume you know, he played OL for the Griz and played OL in the NFL. And is fairly close to the program. Of course, you know more than people like that.

You are either going to lose this new battle, or become an egrizzer. Your ears will be burning from the posts being thrown your way, by at least several of us.

Oh please. That is stupid, even from someone who never played the game and is clueless about the game.

Why is it so painstakingly hard for people to just appreciate an 11-1 season???? 🤦‍♂️
The Griz Cat game was a great football game. Griz had momentum. An unfortunate pick 6 happened. Shit happens, it’s football. We got a squad. We can beat EVERYBODY this year.
I could give a shit about an11-1 season in a putrid Big Sky and watered down FCS where we play twice as many home as away games.

If we don't win the Big Sky, a Natty, or beat the Cats, then its nothing more than window dressing.
