Perhaps a compromise would be to send him to a program not in FCS that has time and time again proven its success and would be willing to share the secrets of their program since will not compete directly against us. Copy the great programs , it isn't rocket science. Bobby is stubborn and very loyal to staff so might be only way to make any needed changes and save face all in one. No shame in learning, adapting. Now on the other hand if the guy is unwilling to adapt/change/admit short comings then that's another situation.

Thanks for this. Are there specific details that you've been told are issues? I ask...mostly because I have medical/physiological knowledge on how the body work and training, and may or may not know people that may or may not be able to make said suggestions. Feel free to PM me.

He talks massive shit about our offense line line constantly. I do not think its becoming of a fan or former player to talk trash about specific players, especially when I think hes wrong. Our offensive line is solid. We're 11-1. Quit being a bitch

He was asked to be a guest on a griz podcast show to give his honest opinions about what he thought about his former team..if they didn't want to hear his expertise he wouldn't be on the show, right?

I'll take his opinion being a former player for the griz and still having close ties to the program over your opinion any day.

The cats are a good team. Period. No FCS team is going to boatrace them. Better O or D line players would not have prevented a deflected pass from bouncing right into a player's hands and going for an easy pick 6.

Oregon boat raced them and it's true they are FBS level but I seem to remember we beat an FBS team a few years ago so not sure how good they really are. A better d-line would not have let the cats control the ball for the last 7 minutes of the game which lead to the loss.

How many times has he ever been on their podcast?
Schmidt is a semi-regular guest.. with close ties to the program,.. they must value his opinion or they wouldnt keep inviting him back, that alone gives him more credibility

Played baseball in college. Have very close ties to the program, obviously you don't, or you'd know.

To be fair, most former players that have a love for their team will be hard critics. I don't think he is being a bad fan, but has really high expectations because of the success those teams had.
