North Dakota Tampering

Agreed. And they did here. It was classified as a mitigated punishment.
Still, the opportunity for the NCAA to set an example without having a fist fight because it was self-reported lent itself to dealing out a stiff penalty and saying it would have been a lot worse if we found it ourselves. Attempting to make an example of UND. Now the result is most likely second thoughts on self reporting until the NCAA actually starts real investigations of this violation. UND compliance department is a turd in the punch bowl right now with their fan base, even though they were doing their job. The guilty coach most likely has “ former“ in front of his title.

Agree 100%. Think that’s what they tried to do too, based on the verbiage of the punishment. Of course, intent and actual execution can vary greatly sometimes!

Sounds like you are getting ready to make excuses. Got a University in mind, hmm?
might be your only hope ;)

Everybody is going to blur the lines between what’s allowed and what isn’t. Give a bunch of lawyers time to look at any football program and they’ll find something, doesn’t matter who it is.

Hey, UND, you’re gonna have to step up your cheating game if you wanna compete with that Fargo outfit. They were the masters of the cheating universe. Come on, guys, let’s step it up a notch. I mean “down.”
