LadyGriz Lady Griz Hoop Club Friday

The summer Lady Griz Hoop Club luncheon is this Friday (July 24) at noon in the new locker room. Lunch then head to the court to watch the new team. If you haven't yet joined the Hoop Club, the $500 is well worth it. Come join us!
 
Ok, who went to the scrimmage and didn't give us a report? Did Tanner Lind run the scrimmage? I assume not. I am betting that Avery DeCoite, Dom Nesland, and Shay Shippen stood out??

It was not a scrimmage. Lots of drills including fast-break drills with no defense. The team as a whole looks much faster and athletic. Tanner participated but mainly it was Nate running the show, Tanner's role is to work individually with the ladies on skills: shooting, ball handling, footwork, etc.

For me, Decoite did indeed stand out; she is very quick. As did Lofing and Nesland. Ava Cossette looks like she is starting off this season as she finished last year when she finally got a healthy knee. She had a good practice. Kennedy Moore did not practice or attend the lunch due to an illness. Dom Nesland and Kennedy Gillette sat with us at lunch. Dom a very well-spoken young woman. Kennedy is VERY excited to have her cousin (Shippen) on the team. It was a fun event.

Shippen is a major recruit. Any more to say about her other than that she’s Kennedy’s cousin?
