Undergraduate enrollment has increased every year over the last ten years.

He's also the interim president of a future PAC-12 school athletic program with a $60 million budget that is well respected across most of the U.S. Dr. Shinn is by far the better candidate and he is the tranformative leader UM needs at this moment to create a renaissance and catapult the trajectory of the university.

If you want UM to be the future and UM athletics, including Griz football, ready for the future, Dr. Shinn is the best person for the position.

what do you think the possibility of the guy to use a umontana offer to leverage his chances of getting appointed the boise state president? he's only interim, so he probably could leave at the drop of a hat, putting bsu in a potentially tough position. i don't know how far along they are in their search - it sounds like it's been going on for a while, and they say they've been having trouble attracting satisfactory candidates. at least according to ai. maybe they'd just throw up their at the news, and hire shinn permanently.

Probably pretty good and probably why he’s “a” finalist. If he declines or is clearly not a good fit, I’m betting we see another finalist the following week - especially if they want to fast track it - which would mean getting the hire in front of the BOR for the May meeting.

There is a large group with significant influence that are completely against him as the hire. We will see, but I think there is a reason that he has been interim for so long and didn't apply in the first place.

Don’t need anyone with MT ties, drain the swamp, get rid of the boys network, clean house including the AD dept too. Bring in new fresh energy.
 
Of course Egrizzly analyzes everything like sports is so important. In Montana even the high schools put a big emphasis on sports. Sports should not even be considered as a hire. Academics is the answer. Academics draws students . Do you think students go to MSU because of sports ? Poll them and I bet you would find out that very few do.

Hey, we need to keep these simple-minded kiddos safe and sound from alternative ideas at all costs! Don’t expose them to anything different. Protect them; they can’t think for themselves at that age. Except for me, of course. I was an independent thinker. But nobody else.

This take is dumb as fuck. Why would you not consider all aspects of the University when hiring the person responsible for the school as a whole?

He is a graduate of West Point and was a Rhodes Scholar with master's degrees from the University of Oxford. " so where did sports come in to play with this hire ? Like I said "Egrizzly analyzes everything like sports is so important" which in turn shows the intelligence level of the posters, not very high.
