Shafer hit vs Harper hit

Not angry. I read your source, which I agree with: “eyes through the thighs, wrap and squeeze, and then “drive for 5,” meaning carry the ball carrier back five yards if necessary while engaged.”

If you look at the “tackle” , in question, the DB attacked the knee, not the thigh area. There was no attempt to wrap the legs…

Thanks for providing the source. Once again, I’m not angry. I think it’s a good argument to have. I only have the best intentions to maybe prevent these injuries going forward.

Touché!
Great video. I agree this technique was not followed on the tackle. Had he wrapped up the legs the knees would have been supported. It is really hard to apply when the tackler is perpendicular to the runner. Works better when coming in diagonally from the front.

The dirty tackler hit him in the knee. And mostly from the side, or 2/3 side. That’s why his knee was torn up. A hit in the thigh doesn’t cause if that knee damage. You can see the thigh pad above the tackler. I saw it right away and starting yelling dirty tackle.

Thanks, Everett.
Agreed, It's unfortunate that #84s foot was so well grounded. If foot was not down the leg would have probably kicked out from under him.

As Brady said, if a receiver gets hurt in the middle of the field, it's because the QB placed him in a bad position.

Okay ordigger how about you tell me where bobby “played”. Bobby was a pole vaulter for the griz track team.
Yep I’m the one that said he had a track scholarship originally. Reading comprehension seems to be weakness among the new gen egrizzers. As for football most intramurals then were played in the field one block west of the Music School between Eddy & Connell on South Arthur, doesn’t exist no more - Gilkey Building. I could name drop but that’s not my thing. Anymore dumb questions?

If you didn’t know hoops has never once made a mistake in his perfect life. It’s cool to have had the success tha he’s had but being a just a decent person will serve you a thousand times better.
I think your confusing him with the guy prominently mentioned in the political thread

You replied to my thread saying what’re you gonna do when find out he did and then i said he ran track?

My bad, thought I had. Maybe a different comment. One of my best friends was older brother to Bobby’s roommate so I remember him a bit.

What is the concussion protocol for the NCAA? And how was it not followed?
From what I hear the team medical guy should do a short battery of tests of which I know not. This would require the player to leave the sidelines which never happened.

so what you're saying is that you don't really have a clue.......?

Bobby was a very good high school player. His senior year Big Timber (coached by his dad) lost the state Class B championship to Plentywood. I think Tim was either a freshman or soph. Plentywood was led by the original #37 Kraig Paulson.

I know it's fun to rewrite history but what you said isn't true. The main part being that he didn't leave the field and get looked at. You guys might have missed it with one guy yelling at Taco when he was down, and the other doing the "night night", but Taco was up and on the sideline getting checked out while they were reviewing for targeting.

And not that it matters over here, Taco wasn't even knocked out. Bell rung big time. Laid there and composed himself for a few seconds, and jumped up and ran to the sideline. He got checked out medically and additionally he and the OC were discussing with a referee about him going back into the game before play even resumed. You can see this interaction plain as day if you rewatch the game but I fully understand Griz fans not wanting to do that.

But you suggesting he didn't get checked or even go to the sideline for that matter is just a lie unfortunately.

I would say normal Cat fans wouldn’t have a clue about the Griz, but you have over 7,000 posts on egriz which would put you in the other box.
Cool story. Let me know when you post more awkward hostage pics of your "girlfriend"

Let me know when you decide to finally let everyone know you are actually a Griz fan. Your 7,000 posts on egriz are making it obvious.

Tim was a very good football player as well all the way through the NFL. Shannon Sharpe mentioned Tim Hauck as one of the hardest hitting defensive players he ever went against in the NFL. Shannon Sharpe was teammates with guys like Ray Lewis, Steve Atwater and Bill Romanowski in addition to Tim Hauck.

Tim was ok. Just kidding. His hit on Michael Irvin made him a Philly legend.
