Shafer hit vs Harper hit

MmmmHmmmm

He wasn’t leaning on trainers or stumbling as he left the field. Game replay shows him standing on the sideline with helmet on waiting for completion the mandatory play he had to sit due to “injured player clock stoppage” and he caught a pass on the very next play. He was either faking injury to get the play reviewed or Vigen and the entire medical/training staff were negligent in their duties to protect his health. Perhaps both are true.
Game replay at 3rd quarter 13:29, does show Taco Dowler rising feebly after the hit, surrounded immediately by team-mates occluding TV view of his stance, and then standing glassy eyed on the sideline with helmet on, with someone who appeared to be his coach and a referee. I think the targeting call was heartbreaking but the fair price of player safety. Equally heartbreaking is what appeared to the average TV viewer, as an absence of trainer assessment immediately after the hit. Injured player clock stoppage? How about injured player assessment, immediate, in the tent and with a penlight? Dowler's grinning and articulate assurance at the press conference minimizing the effect of the hit, seemed contrived to me, and not an assessment that should have been left to the player to declare. Do better for our players.

That's an entertaining narrative. Well done.

Nope, not naive at all. I’ve always known there are miserable POS people like you that actually wish injury on student athletes. I’ll just never be one of those people. Glad we can all see your true colors though…as if it wasn’t already obvious.

The sad part is that there hasn’t been any of your fellow griz that have called you out on these comments so I take it you all, along with the site mods, agree.

Also, are you ever going to respond to my question earlier in this thread? In your 1920s playing days, how many times did you have to tackle a 6-5 270 pound TE in the open field? You are the most ignorant poster here. You know nothing about football, you’re poor and you don’t know any players or coaches.
Thanks for asking. I successfully defended and tackled this TE for Columbia several years. George Starke, one of the original Hogs on the Wash Redskin OL. We graduated from college the same year. Never tackled him in the knees, or below the knees. Mainly in the thighs or slightly higher. He was a load.

"George attended Columbia University where he was a physics major and played football and basketball for the Columbia Lions. George played tight end on the Columbia football team but was drafted by the Washington Redskins as an offensive tackle.

George’s Redskins career spanned 13 years and 3 Super Bowls.

6'5", 260, and athletic: "
NFL offensive lineman George Starke played at around 260 pounds (118 kg) during his career with the Washington Redskins".

Yes, I'm poor. Trying to get by on three quarters of a million a year from my retirement account, only knew about 20 players this season, only know almost all of the coaches and have been friends with Bobby for 25 years, and am one of several posters who provide the best info and analysis on egriz. You nailed it. What an idiot you are.

I'm just telling you.. I've had alot of family and friends play football in college and high school and if I would have ever heard somebody in the stands wishing/ or yelling for them to get injured, they better have their life insurance paid up..enough said.
I'm not in the stands. But if you tried to do that with me when my Army Ranger/sniper/door to door guy son was with me, or my other son who played college football, or even my rugby-playing daughter (who was taught how to defender herself by her Ranger brother, and since then has dropped a few guys with one punch), you'd still be in the hospital. He warns people several times that he's trained to be lethal, and gives them a chance to back off. Everytime he came home from his Iraq deployments, one of his little brother would ask him, usually at the airport, how many people he had killed. My son did joint missions with Chris Kyle, the American Sniper. You are nothing but a bunch of hot air who never played the game. I wish the same Karma on you and your big mouth.

What was your playing weight Hoops? I find it hard to believe you took down a guy that large at the thighs or above on a regular basis. And you’re full of it to say in all of your playing career you never tackled someone at the knees.

Hoops is never threaten you. But you are a pos and any person would let you know that, if your children have had to “drop” someone with one punch i imagine they are a lot like you, emotionally unstable.

If you didn’t know hoops has never once made a mistake in his perfect life. It’s cool to have had the success tha he’s had but being a just a decent person will serve you a thousand times better.

He also didn’t threaten you. He said that anyone who wished ill will on his family would hear from them. Almost like you exactly just threatened the same way. You’re a fucking hypocrite. I legitmately can’t imagine that any of those people that you claim to be friends with would be friends with your ass if you weren’t a donor. I can imagine your son would be disappointed in you gloating the amount of people he’s killed on an internet forum to make yourself look tough.

I'm gonna be honest, this is not normal behavior.

190. Played against him multiple years. I was a good tackler and a hitter. No tackling knees for me.

He threatened me. You are a dumb 21 year old. I was a lawyer for 45 years. It a threat. Just telling a little story. You are too big of a pussy to defend our country. And too stupid. It my doesn’t make me look tough at all. I would have loved to see you tackle the Columbia TE and future 13 years Redskin Hog. He was good Columbia hoops player too.
