Based on this year's results the top 3 programs in the new MWC are going to be Hawaii, New Mexico and UNLV so this will definitely be their best chance to win the Conference. I think the Lobos have the best chance and I actually think Eck is arguably the better coach between him and Mullen.
I think Dan Mullen is a good coach but not a good person and stubborn to the point it brings down his ability to coach.
I don't think he's a bad coach but if he's trying to rebuild his image to get picked up at P4 school losing a bowl game to a coachless Ohio and only scoring 10 points as an offensive genius isn't a good start. If they want to have any shot at winning the MWC next year they need to fix that and definitely have to get a new defensive coordinator.

If he is like how he was with the Gators he will stick with his DC until it gets himself fired. That was the most common complaint about him at Florida, Todd Grantham’s defenses were pathetic and Dan Mullen was too stubborn to make a change.

What exists at UM right now is the infrastructure and support to stack national championships and a coach, program and athletic department that will never get there. He's old, his staff is old, the thinking is outdated, and the lack of transparency is glaring. If finishing 2nd to 3rd in the league and making a playoff run once in awhile, maybe beat the cats every 5 years, win a bunch of fluff games, if that is the standard, you guys are right on track. Nobody is winning a national championship playing a gimmick defense. 4-2-5 is the standard. 3-3-5 is a joke without a gubner type and 2 nfl corners.
You are clueless. None of what you said is true. The Cats will get beaten by ill St. Griz top 4 in nation. In national champ game in 2024.
