2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

I don’t think greyshirts can be on the roster but I don’t know? Handsford was never listed so no idea if he’s even coming
Greyshirts can't be on roster, can't work out with team, and can't take more than 10 credits. A greyshirt at time time, even if it could be done, wouldn't stop the 6/5 year clock.

We don’t have very much depth on the OL and I’ve been hearing some OL guys were leaving. I don’t know who plays Center and Guard is an injury away from disaster. There is guys still on the roster that won’t be back safety is a major concern with that.
Multiple have already transferred.

I highly encourage you guys to check out Nick Saban’s segment on the McAfee show today. He went into detail about building teams at Bama with big guys. He simplified it by saying there’s a reason why lightweights don’t fight heavyweights in a boxing match. I’d love to see that attitude shift to Griz Nation!

Why will he get better? Good enough for FCS football?
Awesome question! If he doesn’t get better at seeing the field, stick a fork in him. I think getting an ass whooping this year will help him moving forward. Yes, he had a bad year. But he flashes all the things you want to see out of a QB and a leader. Competitive guy. Talented guy. Competitive people don’t stay down for long.

I am thinking Wortham could be a potential slot receiver @ 5'9". I do not know anything the kid but am guessing he is quick and speedy, GTID ?

Oh ya I think slot for sure if he came here. Kid can really move. He had almost 330 yards and 5 TD’s on the ground this year, and he only played in half their games. Eastern primarily used him as a running QB. He only had 100 passing yards and 2 TD passes on the year and he’s severely undersized. He’s a faster version of Drew Deck. I also wouldn’t be opposed to giving him a few snaps at QB each game just to shake things up a little bit.

Obviously his primary role at UM though would be as a returner. He had 1 kick return TD this year against Idaho, and a few others that he had really nice returns on. I’m not sure if he returned punts or not, but he’d be a natural and next in line of a long lineage of great returners at UM. His returning abilities are the main reason why the staff is pursuing him. He fills a major need.
