2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

The same rumors that the folks who thrive on negativity were spreading amongst themselves without an ounce of basis in reality.
Not rumors knew about Huot before it happened, Marcus Evans to Carroll too guess what no longer on roster but he’s gone, McGurran still on the roster but heard he’s gone as well I won’t name others as they are still up in the air if they are coming back or retiring from the game.

I would say almost everyone knew the Hout news before it actually happened.

All those guys saw little or no playing time. Understandable why they would transfer.

Ah Yat will get better. Natural progression!! For example, mthoops didn’t always suck at life this bad, he had to progress to get to this point! Always room to grow with practice.
Ok, that’s just funny! 😆 Well done!

Sometimes I agree with ‘ole hooptie-hoop, and sometimes I vehemently disagree. I find myself on equal sides. 🤔

I wish the program and coaches nothing but success. Also, this damn NIL era has me pulling my freaking hair out more than when I was trying to make sure Dave Decoite passed his Summer school Criminology class I was student teaching!! The dude could hit like a hammer, but damn if ya didn’t have to dump the trough of water over his head to help him drink…🤦‍♂️

Personally I enjoy hearing your take on the Griz. Elrod never adds anything worthwhile. He seems to spend most of his time following my posts so he can add something negative about them.

How many roster spots do you anticipate we'll need to fill? I know we had several gray shirts because our roster size... what do you think the target recruit & transfer number is?

And when will we need to know if we have only 105 allowed? Is that schollies? What happens if we have 108?

The deadline to opt out of the settlement is Jan 31st. The final hearing for the case is April 7th. I do not know the penalty for going over the scholarship limit.

I believe it depends on whether UM accepts the antitrust case settlement. I don't know that much about the case, but after reading a few articles, I ask why should the FCS schools accept the settlement?

What's the downside to not accepting. Would the plaintiffs keep going after the FCS schools? Would that case be weaker? Would the possible recovery be much much less?

I read that FCS schools were likely to accept the settlement, but don't know why. FCS schools don't need to be able to pay players up to $20 million per year.

Would the ncaa be able still withhold ncaa money from FCS teams that wouldn't accept the settlement? Would the ncaa toss those non-accepting schools out of the ncaa tourney and money? That would seem like a lawsuit in waiting.

Would the Big Sky have some control over the decision to accept? Why would they?

If someone seems some good articles, post them and I will read and summarize.

I think Kellen Dietrich may have Grey shirted, Dayton toney, rb Wilson, not sure on others, I just recall BH saying they had several gray shirts.
