2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

We don’t have very much depth on the OL and I’ve been hearing some OL guys were leaving. I don’t know who plays Center and Guard is an injury away from disaster. There is guys still on the roster that won’t be back safety is a major concern with that.

3 DTs, 2 LBs, and 1 TE.

That's all the griz need. I would say QB but, if another QB came in I'd imagine Flowers would leave and that kid(given a chance) is the future.
Pretty crazy to think the Griz have 2 rostered qb’s who’s fathers were record setting Big Sky Conference qb’s who played against each other. In 1996 Brian AhYat was 1st team all conference QB, Aron Flowers was Newcomer of the year and 2nd team all conference qb. In 1997 they shared 2nd team all conference qb honors. If KAY or Luke turn out anything like their fathers, we’ll be fine at qb.

After studying these player profiles I think its a VERY LONG shot we ever land them in Montana. They are looking for a different flight.

DL- Andrew Taddeo 6' 2" 275 (Colgate)
DL- Nicholas Fernandez 6' 4" 300 (Arizona)
DL- Brydon Bailey 6' 2" 305 (Utah State) (2 to play 2)
DL- Finn Claypool 6' 1" 245 (Drake) 1 to play 1

Yep I do believe we are good at qb.
What we need are o-lines that can protect him and open some holes for the running game.

You must not be very good at studying profiles cause I think we’ve all but landed Bailey considering he’s following our entire coaching staff on Twitter, and even a few players. Plus he’s Hawaiian, and before Utah State, he was at Golden West CC. Those are 2 of our strongest pipelines right now.

As for the other three, Taddeo has a bunch of FBS offers and he’s from the east coast any way so he’s probably looking to stay out east. Fernandez and Claypool are both taking several weeks to make a decision. Idk why they’re waiting so long. I’d think they’d wanna get going but what do I know. I’m not sure we’ll land Fernandez but I think we have a decent shot at Claypool. He’s following the Good ole Grizzlies NIL Collective on Twitter, plus a couple of coaches and fans.

The sky is not falling and I believe we’re still strongly in play for 3/4 of these guys.

Not a chance. They are looking to play FBS. Can you tell me one reason they would come play here ? We have nothing to offer and I mean nothing. I think it's interesting how some EGRIZ drool over some of these players. Sure we need them but as you can see we are not real successful in recruiting lineman. They have to many choices that fit them better.

I have a feeling, with the portal, an offer today can be rescinded very quickly as players commit and new players get offered.
It's nice to see posts by people who understand football, as opposed to trolls and know-nothings.

What's your basis for "not a chance"? Not a chance on what? Of getting any of them? I assume you're just making up stuff.

See that’s where you’re just flat out wrong and you just have a dark cloud floating over your head. For starters, two of these guys have 0 FBS offers. (Fernandez, Bailey). In fact, almost all of Fernandez’s offers are Big Sky schools and he’s visited most of those. If he hasn’t gotten an FBS offer by now, then he’s probably not going to get one. Bailey has only two offers (UM, NAU) which means at a minimum we have a 50-50 chance at landing him, but I tend to think it’s closer to 80-20 if not better then that.

As for Claypool, I’ll point out to you that he has 3 FBS offers currently (Fresno State, Charlotte, E. Michigan), and he got all of those before Christmas. If he were so gung ho to go FBS, then why hasn’t he committed to one of those 3 yet? Not to mention, why would he even bother to visit UM (he did) if he were so dead set on going FBS? Almost as if the FBS tag doesn’t matter as much to these guys as you’re claiming.

What you’re doing is just trying fit a narrative that the sky is falling and nobody should waste their time. That’s just flat out wrong. Pull your head out of your ass.

No where did I say the sky is falling. If they wanted to play here they would have already committed. They are going to wait and see what their best options are. Claypool 3 FBS offers and he would come play for the GRIZ? :ROFLMAO: I suppose you think we will win the NATTY next year also.:ROFLMAO:

Dozens of players have had FBS offers and came to play here. Are you really that stupid? I’m guessing you’re just trying to be a relevant troll. But you fail.

How do you say the sky is falling without actually saying..."the sky is falling"!

I do not think the sky is falling or we won’t get some of these transfers that visited but didn’t commit right away won’t in the next week or so to us. I have followed recruiting for many years and really the last two years have been tellling on transfer portal. I would just say that it’s usually not the best sign if they dont continue to take more visits and don’t immediately or shortly after commit or sign. You get them in the door and get them to sign soon after or you have to move on. Not always the case but that seems to be the trend.

we are being completely outclassed and out recruited by the Cats. How many of ya thought that was possible 25 years ago??? I sure as fuck didn’t. I’m not talking in-state recruiting alone. All around recruiting and transfers. Player development. This has got to come to an end.

We still have an open spot in the QB room and the Griz should go get this guy. Kid tore it up for 3 years at Bryant before transferring to Wazzu this year where the only game he appeared in was the bowl game and he played pretty well in that. No idea what level of interest he will have, but this kid could be the answer to our problems at QB next year!
Bummer. Kid withdrew from the portal and is staying at Wazzu.

In state recruiting left a lot to be desired but I actually thought we did pretty well with our out of state recruiting class (10+ 3 star guys), and so far I really like our transfer class. Guys like Tolbert and Wilkinson started and played a lot of games at their previous schools. Hell, Tolbert is 3 time 1s team all conference and an All American. What's not to like about that?

0 big DLine guys coming in. 0.
