It happenin

The one school that is seemingly going under the radar and hasn't been mentioned is New Mexico. Nothing about pledging to the MWC and nothing about PAC interest.
Most seem to think they also signed on to the MWC, they might be trying to negotiate UTEP to be added so they can have one of their biggest rivals in the Conference. I'll do some more digging.

I see that Stanford-Cal don’t have a material change out from ACC. I wonder if their buyout fee would be less, as they have only a 30% share now. I read that the 2 big schools leaving could cause turmoil and change things with ACC.
My information comes from Fresno, SDSU and SJSU fans who are much more familiar with how the California education system works. Missed that SDSU did get an offer, looks like Washington and Oregon bolting killed it
No new media deal killed it, and the conference.

And they're snobby enough to go Independent before being in a Conference with Boise and Fresno.
It’s an odd situation when many Griz fans don’t want to be in a conference with Northern Colorado and Portland State but consider Berkeley and Stanford too “snobby” to associate with Boise and Fresno. Kinda seems like a similar dynamic. There could be a word for it, but it’s escaping me.

It may come across as hypocritical but I feel there is a difference between refusing schools due to academics (agriculture is just as important as research in case of Fresno) and schools who invest, care and show up for their athletics and make them a priority vs those who don't. Especially when your Conference's survival is dependent on it.

I personally have nothing against UNC or the smaller schools in the Big Sky, I just would like to see both Montanas (and Idaho if possible) playing Wyoming, Air Force, Nevada etc. every year then being a $$ game for a random new rival every few seasons, feel they are more peer institutions.

So, schools that are more like our…peers?

My bad, feel like the regional MWC are more like us, especially in the sense when it comes to caring about athletics. Games vs Wyoming every year for example would be awesome!
Totally agree, but that doesn’t make Stanford and Berkeley snobby for not wanting to be in a conference with Fresno and Boise any more than it makes us snobby for not wanting to be in a conference with NCU, PSU, etc. That was my point.

We don't want NoCo because the town smells like grandpa's taint. That's not snobby, just basic hygiene etiquette. If Greeley washes its taint we'll talk football.

A handful of greedy, arrogant PAC 12 University Presidents killed it. Too dumb to realize that doubling down for more money was never going to happen and it would kill any tv deal previously offered. Oregon and Washington AD’s realized very quickly they were on a sinking ship and grabbed the first Big 10 lifeline they could. Smart decision.

True, but I think UT was taking about something else being killed.

.0000000000031% of whom know sac plays sports.
Wouldn't that be a reason conference executives would be interested interested? Room to grow.
How are Montana schools going to grow in future years when a majority of folks already have some type of knowledge about Griz and/Cats?

After spending 7 of the past 11 years at these two institutions, let me assure you - No, they absolutely will not.
Perhaps you are right. What special knowledge do you have? I am friends with former Stanford coaches and former AD. I was in the Vay Area all last week. Times have changed, even in last 6 months. They are not going to like the ACC and ACC is likely to go through some big changes. Their 30% share is very low. The travel costs and inconvenience will hurt them and their students. My Cal info comes only from longtime donors, who are now older. Feel free to tell us about all your special knowledge.
