If it was only about market size wouldn’t Northern Colorado be at the top of the list to get a call up to the MWC…… with it being close to Denver? There has to be more involved than just potential viewers.

Generally, ad costs are based on viewership for the event. There are sometimes guarantees. There are sometimes post-event adjustments. It’s not based on size of market.

So follow me here hahahah. let’s talk viewership…Sacramento has 500000 people. Nobody else gives a shit about them…Montana has 1000000 people. So…same viewership if you divide the 2 Montana teams in half…except half of a state will watch to cheer a team on and and the other half will watch to see them lose. So theoretically, the state of Montana would be better for viewership than sac st.

The Sacramento DMA is a top 20 US market area with over 4 Million people and at least 1.5MM TV households. Read a couple of the previous posts regarding market value and how its determined...I'd explain further but I've got a flight to Montana to catch...

My planned LA/OC handball conference may look into expanding into the Sacramento DMA. 1.5 million more TVs? I’ll take some more of that sweet ad money for something nobody watches but could maybe someday. Write the checks, Geico and Progressive.

Since you mentioned this earlier my production team has been working on the perfect lead in programming for the new handball conference for the NorCal market. After extensive market research in the Sacramento area we have concluded that a reality show filmed in a prison is the perfect vehicle to drive viewership to handball.

Let me introduce you to CAL-LOCKUP.

Fistfights, shower scenes and shankings are the perfect lead in programming that will prep viewers for the exhilaration of watching sweaty people play competitive handball.

The Sacramento demographics are a lock given the cities low graduation rates and having one of the highest crime rates in America for a city of its size. And Sac is just the tip of the iceberg. Our modeling found CAL-LOCKUP will get a 40 share in the Fresno market. That’s just viewers tuning in for the chance they may see one of their imprisoned relatives.

Now let’s talk interstate broadcasts. CAL-LOCKUP is a sure hit with all the dirt heads in Reno. With the Nevada market you can say hello to legalized gambling for the nascent handball league. After a year or two we’re looking at Fantasy Handball Leagues popping up throughout the land.
