I have lived in Bozeman for over 35 years. As of two years ago part time. I am in Bozeman now.Do you live in Bozeman?

I would say most employees of public institutions in this State think they are underfunded. This includes all of our educational institutions.I am not as in touch with the community or the school as you are, but I have visited with two State professors and neither one was happy and comfortable there. In fact the one professor in architecture complained about MSU being " an under funded public institution."
Neither one mentioned let alone praised the administration.
As I have stated before, her success was the result of being in the right place at the right time and having charmed the BOR to think just how great she is.
So that’s a no.I have lived in Bozeman for over 35 years. As of two years ago part time. I am in Bozeman now.
So you don’t live in Bozeman?I have lived in Bozeman for over 35 years. As of two years ago part time. I am in Bozeman now.
Ha! Good oneI think you are selling President Cruzado very short.
So you think that’s okay to round UP to 17k?Enrollment always drops in the Spring, but that was a record also at 16,101.
This is basically nonsense. So many qualifiers it is meaningless. The 99% is just my OPINION of the result if a survey was taken of alumni, students, faculty and the Bozeman community that her legacy would be one of tremendous success.
In general, I agree with your broad assesssment, though the Gianforte foundation doesn't contribute solely to MSU - It's about 3 to 1 MSU over UM. Foundations cast a wide net and the governor's donations to the two universities aren't making or breaking either.Cruzado is a beneficiary of the times, She assumed the office during a "perfect storm."
The colleges of arts and sciences began to enjoy more popularity than the liberal arts colleges because of employment opportunities and pay scale for graduates.
She enjoyed a overly friendly BOR and easily capitalized on that by her charm. It didn't hurt to be a Puerto Rican minority woman in an environment that seems to go out of the way to hire such.
She benefited from a shift in political influence in Montana to Bozeman. The current Governor and minority Senator are from Bozeman as will be the future Eastern Montana Congressman. Typically the first words out of Senator Steve Daines mouth are, "At Montana State University..."
MSU played their cards right in streamlining the establishment of the Burns Center for Telecommunications that was named after the late Senator Conrad Burns. That solidified support, as if it really needed solidifying, with the farm and ranch community.
Any intelligent business person would know that it is best to invest in opportunities friendly to the elected as did the Canadian CEO of Goosehead Insurance and his 100 million dollars. Others did as well.
Despite being Governor of all Montana, Governor Gianforte saw to it that his foundation dollars went solely to MSU instead of to the Montana University System.
Big Sky Ski area and the Yellowstone Club are major draws to the area and Cruzado benefited.
and I suspect the television series, Yellowstone, has been a draw as well.
Is she a great leader? I have read negative comments from students at MSU that say differently. The typical complaints are that she stays in her office and tends to come out into the campus only when there is a chance for publicity or a photo op.
If she was so dedicated to MSU, then why did she go to the BOR and successfully get a raise when she was presented an opportunity to go elsewhere? Money talks.
As I said, Waded Cruzado came into the right place and the right time and rode that wave for all its worth.
Consider it how you want.So you don’t live in Bozeman?
If you view yourself as living in Bozeman now, that's fine with me. My immediate family has lived in Bozeman for 65 years, my aunt/uncle and family for over 75 years, my stepdad taught at MSU for several decades, another relative teaches there now, many of our family graduated from MSU, including a bunch in the 50's, and I used to live there. But I don't view myself as living there.Consider it how you want.![]()
Sounds as though you need to get off the circle jerk that is Litterboxnation and talk to some real folk who understand all of the internal issues and external investigations happening at msdui. The 99% is just my OPINION of the result if a survey was taken of alumni, students, faculty and the Bozeman community that her legacy would be one of tremendous success. My opinion is based on heavy involvement at MSU and in the Bozeman community over the years of her tenure. Following is an article on MSU enrollment.

Montana State sets all-time fall enrollment record
Montana State University’s fall student enrollment is the largest in its 130-year history, with 16,978 students pursuing the many benefits of higher education at the state’s largest university.www.montana.edu
Enrollment always drops in the Spring, but that was a record also at 16,101. So enrollment for the year was between 16,000 and 17,000.
I consider myself part time now. Still very active in community and MSU. I know your family has a long history. They have been great Bobcat supporters. A “record” barely over 16k but you round up.
Not sure if that math stupidity is from your MSDUi education or just being extremely misleading once again
But also being able to successfully ride the wave of right opportunity is a skill itself. Many people don’t have the identification skills or skills to not mess up a good thing. Cough Engstrom Cough.Cruzado is a beneficiary of the times, She assumed the office during a "perfect storm."

Kinda wonder if the next hire is cannon fire for that eventual fallout. Be interesting to see who it is.The Garza/Housewright 'due process' never ending 'no comment' still has not been explained.
Holy crap, Mr Misleading, why don’t you pick up your tiny goal posts and move them where ever you want?Yes, I used 17,000 as starting the Fall semester in 2023 it was 16,978. I expect with the start of school for 2024 it will be about the same. You chose the Spring semester number. That’s ok. Over a course of a school year, it probably averages somewhere in the middle. Don’t see this as extremely misleading lol![]()
Students have already enrolled for the 2024 Fall semester. So, if I took the survey now it would be close to the 17,000 number. Maybe even more. You are the Chubby Checker of egriz the way you twist things around. Keep trying Chubby!Holy crap, Mr Misleading, why don’t you pick up your tiny goal posts and move them where ever you want?
You initially said if you took a survey now “with 17,000 students” (not a year ago). You were the one who said there were 17k students now but the latest numbers show you were way off, and now you are reaching back and lying to cover your tracks.
That’s super misleading.
Yes, I agree. Could we say "he whose name shall not be mentioned", or "that dickhead former president", or ....Okay I won't but you know I am right!
Alright, here's the thing: You asserted that 99% of people would think a "retired" president, whose tenure ended amid scandal, was great. When people started calling BS and citing examples, you got defensive and started talking about enrollment. It's OK to admit that she fucked up in handling the criminal arrests of three FB coaches on her watch, and also racked up the most federal investigations of any Montana institution of higher education. It's OK to admit it. She's gone.Students have already enrolled for the 2024 Fall semester. So, if I took the survey now it would be close to the 17,000 number. Maybe even more. Wow, obviously you are losing when you have to resort to name calling and personal attacks.Keep trying Chubby!
