AY is the early season starter. There is no evidence to the contrary.

Fife may close the gap as season progresses and if he does so by clear margin - may finish the season.

Those arguing Fife will start season opener probably never played the game.

I've been wrong before. It may well be the case again this time.

I still think Fife comes into fall camp much further ahead than he was at the end of Spring ball. Time will tell.

I think we will see exactly what we saw last year. Bobby won't name a specific guy. He will give us 2 names like Huot or Ah Yat, Fife or Huot. And we will just have to wait and see who emerges as the starter as the season progresses.

In theory, Fife spent the summer getting familiar with the playabook, schematic changes that are new to him, language of the offense 9verbal and hand signals), reads, and nuances of a new offense. Asking someone to do that in the short amount of time he was here for spring is a LOT. I agree with you that he can't hope to figure it out during fall camp, but that is also what the summer is for.

That is very true.I cannot see any reason Fife is not the starter.Spring ball was no indication of his ability.Other quarterbacks were way ahead of him because they knew the system already.The other QB's have very limited playing time and that alone should qualify Fife.

I don't know who your starting QB will be next year but what I DO know... is that no matter who it is, there will be times when they struggle. And when that happens, I promise you there will be posters here saying... "He SUCKS, put in my guy, he can't do any worse!" That is something I will bet anyone on. LOL

I don't know who our starting QB will be next season, but what I DO know is: no matter who it is, you will be here trying to brag about some win against Stetson or somebody in your Golden Shower Game (or whatever they call it).

And Poor will keep telling us how wonderful the Cats and all their players are, no Griz would start for the Cats except maybe Bergen, and the Cats have 6 running backs better than any of the Griz running backs. But late in the season he will disappear to get back under his rock.

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. But, I promise you that your solution to your problems will always be to come over here and brag about how well you run the ball and that your backups are better than your starters, until the end of the season after a blowout to a quality team when you can talk about how there just wasn’t enough room on the field for all your talent and you’re OC has really made some strides in the passing game and next year is the cats year, blah, blah, blah.
