Think We're Going to Have a Team

Hauck had nothing to do with that directly, but his past success set a high bar for his predecessors.

Not to be too nit-picky but a predecessor comes before. So I'm not sure if his predecessors are supposed to go back after the fact and win more games, commit hari-kari or what.

I agree his past run was incredible. That should be enough and I believe it is enough to the silent majority of griz nation. We realize what a great hire he was and what he brings back to his home state. I’m a Hauck supporter and have never weighed in on the Stitt situation, but there is still a low grade vibe of resentment for Hauck here on egriz by some of the fellas who mock us Hauck supporters. Dudes Stitt is gone, he sounded like a really decent guy and I think he got f***ed. Hauck had nothing to do with that directly, but his past success set a high bar for his predecessors.

To say BH had nothing to do with that is a flat out lie. He came to town, telegraphed his intentions such that EVERY SINGLE PERSON knew what he was implying, and then "surprise!" lands the job when Stitt is summarily shown the door at the end of the season (and I'm NOT saying Stitt didn't need to go--he absolutely did).

And we only mock Haucksuckers who say shit like "EXPECT CHAMPIONSHIPS!" like there's 4-5 mythical national title flags flying over Wa/Griz right now because of BH...he went ZERO for THREE, and (lest we forget) was roundly criticized on this very board multiple times for his demonstrated inability to win the big one. So to magically expect multiple flags THIS time around when the top echelon of the BSC (and for that matter, the top echelon of FCS) is waaaaaay better than when he was here the first time? Well, that's just a fools errand and already setting him up for failure. We are LIGHT YEARS behind NDSU, JMU, SHSU, and honestly Kennesaw St. and Jacksonville St., just to name a few. Hell, we're behind EWU, NAU, WSU in our own conference!

Loooong ways to go, fellas.

F that. This is Montana Football. EXPECT CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Sorry if that doesn't mesh with your Stitt mediocre-mindset but this staff and the players they recruit all will expect to win championships. How GD refreshing.

you bet! THERE'S GOING TO BE A TEAM, ALRIGHT!Just remember these three letters RTD "Return to Dominance"! The Griz ARE BACK"! Most coaches in the BSC and the FCS are quite aware of this, TRUST ME! Only the fools doubt it but it doesn't matter. Dominance is Dominance!!! Lead follow or get out of the way!
Go Griz!

So what the wtf why continue to dwell in the past? Because you have nothing relevant to add or discuss so your hurt feelings over ride your social filters (learned that one from AG) and you get sassy and behave like miserable mean girls. (Sorry GG, I know that sexists as hell, but it’s a powerful metaphor for the anti-Hauck crowd who throw out veiled barbs and then when someone calls them on it they hang up or praise Hauck too much. Lol.)

How about you guys just open the closet door come out behind your key boards and start a thread just for the mean girls and and you fellas can post and spew and mock and condense and haze and just generally be dickheads to your hearts content and trash Hauck and any innocent bystander who happens to post a pro Hauck comment. For the rest of griz nation they can post here about griz football and enjoy the discussion without having to read the snark. For that they can go to your new thread if they want to check out your latest bombs. So really just stop with the snark toward anyone who is pulling for Hauck like I am. RTD

P.S (I spelled checked and I believe I stayed on point and I broke it into paragraphs, admittedly some run on sentences though. Please feel free to pm if you find any typos, spelling errors, grammatical errors or anything else relevant to my composition. Thanks fellas really looking forward to your responses and can’t wait to check out your new mean girl anti-Hauck thread.)
Pretty sure no one’s trashed Hauck. Maybe questioned some of his assistant coach choices but I think that’s about it. If you were referring to me, I’m all for the Hauck hire and think he’s the best choice. Stating a fact that he’s never won a natty is not bad mouthing the coach. Just a fact. He also did get us to the natty more then any other coach and I believe he’s the winningest coach in the history of the Sky.
Yes we have heard it ad noseum we all lived through the highs and the 3 loses in the chipper. Give it a rest if that’s all you got. He’s back he wants to win we know his track record and he’s from freaking Sweetgrass County High. How much more Montana can you get. I like the way he has handled himself so far. He’s mature and feels less defensive in interviews. Your comment about the coaches, I believe most of the new guys took paycuts from previous jobs to work with Bobby. It’s difficult to get assistants from D1 schools to a D2 because of the lack of exposure and a pay curt. I like the staff he was really lucky to assemble in a short time period. What is more important the experience these guys all bring in? They all came back for some reason or another related to Missoula or Bobby. Sometimes I think we fool ourselves into believing that assistants are clamoring to come and coach the griz.

Dutch, once again, I’m not Bobby bashing. I’m starting to get the feeling your looking for a fight from someone in your corner. I’ve said repeatedly Bobby’s the guy I’ve wanted all along. Never wanted him to leave. I EXPECT eventually he’ll win one, just like I expected Delaney and Stitt to win em. Unfortunately that never happened. I stated one fact that Bobby hasn’t. I’m not arguing with anyone that Bobby isn’t the guy for the job. I also like his coaches and their 200 years of coaching experience. I also wasn’t the one who was harshing on them. Others were though and that’s their opinion. I appreciate your enthusiasm and don’t believe your i_t_s anymore and I do believe your a legit poster. A little mental maybe but there’s nothing wrong with that. We all gotta be to be posting on here thinking our opinions are worth anything. So, like I said, nice enthusiasm but find another tree to bark up please.

Are you a teacher? Because you kind a seem like one, or are you just a kid who was always the smartest kid in the class but maybe you never got picked until last all the time. But at least you still got that smartest kid thing going on. But how about some football comments. Come on you can do it we know you can, just let it out. Here all throw you a bone - I really finding it striking that Bobby isn’t splitting up the team for the scrimmage. Can’t take that as a good sign. What do you think?

Ya know, there are way to many fricken bobkats spewing their bull shit on this site! Get rid of them and we intelligent folks could carry on an intelligent conversation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Griz! Hauck went to the National Championship 3 out of 7 years,YES! Bozeman wasn't even in the playoffs that decade!!! "NUFF SAID"! Hauck, said the Griz were not up to par with NDSU and JMU but all the rest are fair game! Don't shit yourselves Bozeman, RTD is not just a catch phrase.. The Griz are back!!!!Your 280 lb. running back, "Bacon" is nothing but a fat slob you wait and see!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see you at WGS in November! 2 out of 3 vs Stitt is just that! No more and no less!!! RTD!

Finally figured it out, I the sky has got to be Trump. Replace “the Griz” with “America” and “other big sky coaches” with “North Korea” in this post and I’m pretty sure this is one of Trump’s speeches.

Seems like people take things to the extreme. The thread is titled: Think we're going to have a team. Which I agree with. I'm sure the coaches and team are happy that the group is a team and have bought into where the new staff wants to go. Baby steps if you will. Let's give credit where credit is deserved, the players respect the coaches enough to buy in and drink the Kool-Aid, now they are a team.

A well hydrated team.

Sorry about the post. I had a thought about how most threads turn to coach loyalty to national titles and ends with which QB will start.

I think as fans, it is okey to appreciate the amount of change that happened and things look alright. Be grateful this group is becoming a team. Why heap the old baggage on this team. If the players can accept the changes and stick together, maybe the fans can be happy try to let the old stuff go and be hopeful for the future. There’s a pretty long road to game one.

Great attitude Diesel. We can only move forward. This is a new staff, and in many ways a new team. Let the coaches coach and the players play. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

How many seasons without an NC do we give Bobby before he’s shown the door? 3? 4? 5? 7? Because if we EXPECT CHAMPIONSHIPS, and that’s the determining factor, he’d better fucking win more than one or he should be booted to the curb just like the others, never mind he “wants to win” and is from Sweetgrass fucking High School.

That being said, I hope he wins 7. Then goes on to coach the new San Antonio Caballeros to a Super Bowl win.

Like being from sweet valley high, it like totally means that he will be like a totally awesome coach and like no one can question like anything about him. Like you know? Fer sure. Ferrrr sure.

So side note, looked up sweet valley high because I knew there was a book series but nothing about it. Read through the list of titles. They read like they could be porn titles. Double Love. All Night Long.

I'm confused. Are you telling us to all throw him a bone? You asked if he was a teacher. Is this like giving a teacher an apple? Is that what you millenials do these days?

I'm kidding dude. Since y'all were talking grammar I got a chuckle out of your use of "all" instead of "I'll". Totally changed the meaning of the sentence, inadvertently.

For some still grasping why no one's and two's. If you don't yet have a depth chart, you don't have one's and two's.

"booted to the curb just like the others" What exactly does that mean?

My view is that anyone who actually "expects" championships (national) truly never played the game. And has no appreciation of how hard it is to become a national championship.
