Candidates emerge for Montana's head coaching opening

If all you want is a list, it’s not for you.

If you’re interested in knowing details about the candidates, it may be for you.

I admire their entrepreneurial spirit in a tough tough business.

Agreed

All the mods needs to do is post that Skyline has prior consent. Other options: eliminate the rule or enforce the rule.

Pretty simple stuff.

This would be a decision for Chris...

Yep, capitalism at work - a superior product, but at a cost. With socialism you get what you pay for...

eGriz: We want more good content

/content shows up

eGriz: Your site is garbage, why are you charging us, I'm too dumb to sign up for the site, you're a thief for advertising on here!

MrTitleist: If we don't get an indoor practice facility with the new football coach, the AD didn't do his job. Talk about a whiner

If you're going to quote what I say on Twitter be smart enough to quote what I said, and not misrepresent what I said. The point I made is obviously over your head.

What a brainless, ignorant, stupid statement. I agree that Colter is right to charge for the service he offers. But that doesn't make capitalism completely superior to Socialism. Capitalism and Socialism both offer good points; to condemn either one is a mistake.

Their content is worth it. Unless you are Ursus. Then nothing is worth it.

Actually I could give a shit if they charge....just don't like clickbait posted in general topic lines......put their posts with subscription fees in their own thread pinned on top so people can see it upfront and transparent that is advertising not where others post. As for the Missoulian paywall mentioned by other poster....apples to oranges ...the Missoulian isn't posting the clickbaits!!!!

People resort to name-calling only when there is no actual substance to their argument.

History shows beyond doubt that socialism leads to poverty. Even communist nations like China have had to turn to capitalism to generate wealth for their people. Venezuela is a good recent example of pure socialism at work.

I could resort to a little name-calling of my own but will take the high road. :thumb:

The single article does not cost $8. The monthly fee is $8. Moving forward, it will get you 20-40 pieces of content per month regarding Montana football, men's and women's basketball, recruiting and analysis.

This football season, as we migrated our website to its new server and current updated design, we designed a new paywall. Therefore, this football season, we did not charge for content because we did not want to have massive issues during the migration. Now that the paywall is live as well as the site is live on the new server, we will return to our subscription model.

I will work on getting a Skyline thread embedded on the top of the page so we don't have to make a new thread for each story because we don't want to be considered annoying click bait. We are trying our best to provide timely, prevalent, accurate and well-informed journalism that no one else covering the Griz is currently providing. Kyle Sample is back on board on a part-time basis — with this coaching search, he is all in — but as always, we need interest and subscribers to be able to pay Kyle what he is worth.

Thanks for your feedback about our project.

I did not name-call the poster. I criticized what he wrote; not the same thing. I'm not getting into the age-old argument of capitalism vs. socialism. All I'm saying is, both are valuable to having a good society. Witness Germany. If you disagree, so be it.

I don't care one way or another. I was just pointing out the simplicity of the rules.

Sounds like Skyline will work for a pinned thread or something...should be easy enough for Chris to say yes or no to it.

People deserve to keep the fruits of their labor. But since it's a football board, lets go ahead and agree to disagree...

Alright, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours. Think it's time for me to check out of this madhouse for awhile... :D

What other "work" would people try to bring here and make money off of?

If anyone wants to buy some extremely fast C++ code that does gene sequence alignment hit me up...

If I owned a bar close by I could advertise on here leading up to every game.
If I was selling t-shirts under a tent I could advertise on here leading up to every game.
If I owned a liquor/grocery store close by I would have a 30pk special price and could advertise on here leading up to every game.
If I owned a hotel close by I could advertise on here leading up to every game.
If I owned a restaurant I could advertise on here leading up to every game.

So basically any type of "work" at all fits.
