I believe Lisa Davey was in attendance at the introductory press conference...any word of a 1on1 meeting between her and Hauck? Or was it just a general show of support from the AD?

I was told that Davey and Hauck talked. I also talked to her.

Davey's stuff is long on assertions and weak on facts or support. It's largely opinion, myth and agenda.
And yet she still continues her Twitter campaign even in the face of the facts.

I'm going to ignore her. I'm also going to ignore posters who try to tell fans how to be fans.

I will never buy or click on another missoulian article. I will ignore the kaimin. Skyline and other fair media outlets and journalists will bury them both.

I sleep very well at night.

I don't think GGNez or anyone who has agreed with her is challenging anyone's right to disagree with anyone else. I also don't think she's advocating a "live and let live" philosophy that tries to negate the importance of mature, civil dialogue over issues we disagree on. I think her post is challenging those who choose personal attacks and divisiveness as a response to those whom they disagree with. And GGNez is suggesting - and I agree with her - that those types of responses are counterproductive to the culture of respect that the University and its Athletic Department are trying to cultivate. She's challenging us to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

I'm with RobGriz. I disagree with the way Davies attacked Hauck, the book cover meme was uncalled for. There were factual errors in the petition. I also laughed my ass off to see AG1 get called out for his BS. Deservedly so, and way way late IMHO. Because my opinion differs from someone else does not make me part of the problem. Overly broad accusatory generalizations without actually listening to other opinions, which may or may not be valid, is part of the problem.

Dan, this is the issue. You're reasonable and intelligent. But, you (like others) are suggesting that I'm telling you that you have to agree with others. Nobody has to agree. The people who are part of the problem are the ones that are not smart enough to find the words to express their disagreement so they resort to playground bullying. They insult people's bodies or faces, they harbor so much emotional contempt that you can practically see the saliva that spattered their computer screen as they shouted, "F-ing girl...not pretty....fat dumb...make sammich!!!"
None of us want that to be the face of Griz Nation.

I will say this, you certainly have elevated the conversations around here! Well done.

..."you're part of the problem or part of the solution"...
...eldridge cleaver writing from prison"soul on ice"...
...a few more of his quotes that could fit this thread...
...""respect commands itself and can never be given nor withheld when it's due"...
..."the price of hating other human beings is loving oneself less"...
...and lastly.."everybody changes just not me"...

... 8-) ...

Same thing could be said of and to Davies.

But it won't. Not in the current cultural climate in which we live.

You're absolutely right. So why sink to her level? Be better.

It's pretty easy to pay zero attention to her...

I haven't and I won't (at least I don't think I have). But it chaps my ass to see the massive double standard still firmly in place, where one party gets invited to the press conference with apologies all around, while the other party gets flamesprayed, called out on the carpet and threatened with banishment. He called her fat and published her address. She called BH a purveyor of the "rape culture" in a post filled with lies and half-truths.

Seriously, which is worse?

Yep. Bingo.
I hate the fact that I’ve learned something and feel dumber...doxxing, virtue signaling. It’s going through be a long offseason.

They both have a right to thier opinions.

And they both were wrong to say what they did in the way they said it.
