Why so difficult

You guys have sh!t all sorts of discombobulated. Next man up mentality is going strong at MSU. Losing Johnson to injury is not the only reason for your three game slide. He doesn’t play defense or return kicks or make field goals. Flowers is a stud but the other two entities haven’t been up to par either. You’ve been in the losses down to the end. Couldn’t make a stop when you HAD to and it cost you.

I'll take that as a "No". So, let's read from now on. It's FUNdamental.

   you're right... dont let the fact that a backup QB led the Cats all the way through the playoffs and into the NC ruin your good bitchfest that a team simply cannot win with a backup QB.... Keep the circle jerk going fellas!! :thumb: :thumb:

A backup qb didn't lead the Cats anywhere. The Cats replaced the starter, and he immediately quit. You are dumber than I thought.

Not having Johnson is the primary reason the Griz have lost the last 2 games. With him, UM would have won the games fairly easily. Other things like bad calls also changed the SS game. The UM defense is the best in the conference and did well, not perfect, both of the last 2 games.

Spoken like someone who didn’t watch any of the games, but feels the need to chime in.

Well, my mom’s been dead for 30 years, so if she’s giving you a warm fuzzy feeling you are one sick son of a bitch.

I've tried to get an answer to these questions on other threads but no takers. Is Kem correct or is this just BS?

Professionals the quality of Haslam, Hauck and DeCuire do not grow on trees and would be very difficult to replace at this university so think about what you're saying.

1. Egriz posters consistently mention the UM facilities, crowd sizes, donor support, fan support in general and quality of life as reasons that UM should be more attractive than other venues. Why should we not expect that if the head coaching job for UM football or basketball were opened it would be difficult to replace what we have? Why is middle of the conference pack acceptable to so many of you and wishes to move on derided as bad fan stuff?
2. Given the recent hire to a piss poor Idaho program of Jason Eck, who had little time to recruit, and had to live with Petrino recruits, why does he have his team in the running for a conference championship, when Hauck who lost to Idaho, now has 3 conference losses one to Idaho; no chance to win a conference championship, and with as advertised a team with no weaknesses is now 5-3. (Note: I consider a team without a solid backup QB to have weakness). Why?
3. Two years ago MSU went, according to egriz which is suspect, down to their 6th choice for a coach, but still went to the NC last year and is ranked 3 in FCS right now. What if UM recruited and one of the first five accepted? Was Vigen just an undiscovered gem or an example of what is out there if one has the balls to look for it. Why does Vigen, who's team has had a lot more injuries and eligibility problems this year than the Griz, find a way to succeed?
4. Why do egrizzers have such an allegience to a coach who has produced no championships in 4 (5 counting covid years) as well as the first time around? Why do you care so much about Bobby? It's not like he's your f***ing dog. If another, hopefully younger coach came in and went 7-4 what would be the difference. Is Bobby buying you drinks or giving you free tickets?
5. Why would you consider Bobby as a coach in a move up situation which is coming like it or not when he has already exhibited failure as an FBS coach, albeit UNLV?

I just don't get it. Feel free to explain it to me.
You need perspective. The Griz have been playing football for 125 seasons. We have won a total of 2 national championship games. Overall record of just over 500. Hauck has a winning percentage of just under 80% and brought the Griz to more championship games than other coach. How many coaches after hauck got us to the nc. That would be zero. To think we could hire a new coach and suddenly end up in the nc is delusional. This season has been disappointing but it’s not over yet.

I’m increasingly getting the feeling that the average Bobfan poster on eGriz watches old Benny Hill VHS tapes for entertainment and makes “hump day” and “TGIF” jokes at the office.

Oh assuredly. And they wear muscle shirts last cool in 1987 and brag to the poor admin assistant about how they’re “hung like a horse”, when it’s clear the only thing hanging is their flabby belly which bounces off their knee caps with every step.

Cincinatti Bengals Zubaz pants, purple crocs, and a JOCK JAMS cassette still stuck in the stereo of their 2003 Pontiac Aztec.

Since the main critique you two make is that Hauck has not won any NCs, ask the fan bases of any of these BSC teams how many NCs their staffs have won.

I'm wondering where all this conviction to chase BH (103-29, 7 trips to the NC game at Montana) was prior to the last 3 weeks. 3 f....g weeks and 3 losses, two on the road, by a total of 17 points, one in OT. The definition of fickle. Your assumption that Eck and Vigen are instantly superior to Hauck is like trying to draw a correlation line from one data point. Unlike Hauck, neither has a significant body of work. But in your insight, you're able to project them to be building the next NDSUs. Please share how you developed such insight and particularly indicate the slopes of your correlation lines.

Here’s one: The Bobcats are 7-1 this year (with multiple victories by their backup QB, BTW), and 25-3 in their last 28 FCS games including a trip to the NC game. The Griz are 0-3 in their last THREE. So we’ve lost as many FCS games in October as the bobcats have in three years. With a coach (in year FIVE, mind you) that seems incapable of or unwilling to make the necessary adjustments to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

It’s just become readily apparent that unless something demonstrably changes, Bobby’s ceiling appears to be 9-2, quarterfinals at best, and we all better get right with that.
Havent you been saying the smae thing about Coach Hauck since the early 90s? Griz fans know what they are going to get with Hauck, competitive but never gonna win it all. Its proven and now the FCS is watered down and hes still underperforming at an incredible clip. Anyone expecting different results after a 20 year sample is lying to themselves

If by “you” you mean ME specifically, then no. I was happy with the Hauck rehire. I’m NOT happy with his unwillingness to do what it takes (staff-wise) to make sure his team is in the best position to win.
