Name any team that has lost its starting and very good qb in a top 5 game, and still won the game. Okay, now do this analysis for any team that also doesn't have a good backup. The Cats are lucky this year with 2 good qb's. Last year, MSU had a decent backup, but not as good as Mellott. Are you saying that losing Mellott against NDSU didn't impact the MSU offense and the game?

In the case of the Griz, the way they lost the QB, in a dirty late hit that was blatant targeting also keeps this issue in the mind of the Griz.

The Griz have nice depth and better than the Cats. The Cats have better depth at QB. QB is obviously a very important position.

What I get so tired of hearing/seeing is BS crap from trolls like you.

Let's bet $250, right now, on the Griz/Cat game, assuming both teams have their good qb (2 in the case of the Cats). Put up or shut.

I would argue we don't really know for sure how good our backup qb's are, since some of them haven't been given a quality shot.
