Why does UM have so many clueless and unknowledgeable fans?

What control do you or any fan have over what happens with the team? Do you think the coaches, who have over 300 years of combined coaching experience, don't rewatch the game and evaluate the game and every player? Do you think your criticism might be without knowledge of the game, the strategy, the play call, and the assignments? If you want to show that you can critique with knowledge, start a YouTube channel like Samuel Akem and share your critiques. Otherwise, your criticism falls on deaf ears because you are making assumptions and when you assume you make an "ass" outta "u" and me"
I think you need to re-read my post. I wasn’t criticizing the team. I just said it’s ok for people to have differing opinions on the team and for some people to be justifiably concerned by what they saw yesterday. I never said what my opinion was on the team.

How is Montana not the hardest team UND played? NDSU had like 3 drives that were over 12 yards. 1 in the 2nd half. They never moved the ball into UND territory the 2nd half, UND turned it over there for them twice and they got 10 points. Montana beat UND in the second half period. NDSU didnt have an off game. Und just made tackles and started pressing their 2 wrs in the 2nd qtr.
I'd rather play NDSU than Montana this year. What am I missing with MSU? Are they better than NDSU?
Same could be said about the YSU-NDSU game. NDSU scored three touchdowns on drives of 26 or less off turnovers. And YSU had a chance to tie the game at the end of regulation.

I think UND could have been the toughest opponent we will face during the regular season, and let's see how Davis does in Boz Angeles next week.

I just think it's a bit premature to say MSU is the toughest opponent we will face during the regular season. Maybe you're right and maybe you're not.
We’ll find out in two weeks but right now I think the cats are better than UND. Cats have won every conference game by at least 17 points. They’re rolling right now.

They’re rolling against bad teams. We’ll see how they look against Davis they are 0-1 so far against playoff quality teams which might even be a stretch to call this year’s SDSU team.

Fair point but opinions are like assholes, everyone has them and they all stink.

Spot on mthoopsfan. Look at Indiana against Penn State, 0-6 in the Big Ten. Penn State almost pulled off the upset and Indiana barely pulled out the game on a last second TD reception. Great college football teams will have stinkers during a season.
A few differences. Indiana fans weren't at a home game their team led 22-0 early in the 2nd quarter, heading for their cars with 4:00 left in the 4th, their team with the ball at the opposition's thirty and still up 12.

Did Bobby really say: "Good teams find a way to win" in the post game interview? He must have been talking about Indiana.

Yeah. UND defense scheme feels designed for YSU and NDSU. NDSU did win and were better than UND but it didnt feel like past years. Stats are stats but never did I imagine punting with 2 mins left to NDSU down a score was an option until this year.

I might be missing something but think you are complimenting how well your defense was doing stopping NDSU on their next drive. NDSU went 3 and out and UND had one more chance after punting with 2 mins left. If so, I agree with you. Did UND use a spy for Cole Payton during the game like YSU?

Long title drought and rise of the cat program have Griz fans at an all-time level of crazy.

Fans complain when the Griz get beat deep, they complain when the defense keeps things in front of them and give up 7/8 yards a completion.
I would much rather give up the short passes against a team like EWU that is terrible in the Redzone than risk getting beat deep. Make them chew clock and the more they pass the higher chance of sack or interception.
Problem in this game was the offense did zilch in the second half. If Montana picks up even a few more first downs or score one more TD this game is never close.

As far as the fear of the cats go I get it people see the scores of games between common opponents and they look like world beaters. However Montana will be the cats toughest game since SDSU.
How will cats react in a close game late in the fourth? What if they fall behind early by a couple scores?
They have not faced that adversity since week 2, they are on cruise control.

My prediction for next week:
Griz win close game against PSU
Cats Steamroll Davis
Griz fans lose their mind and predict sky is falling!!!!!

EVERYONE READ THIS POST!!!!! Also, I don’t want to hear about SDSU playing a backup QB. Is backup QB part of a team??? As a collective football team, SDSU isn’t that strong top to bottom. The Cats beat Northern Arizona. Ok. They are credited with SOS. Ok. They lost an extremely sloppy game against SDSU at home and got piss pounded by Oregon. I can’t wait for Griz Cat. Good, bad, sloppy, indifferent……we’ve won 10 straight. Let’s stick it to Portland this weekend. Then we can quit talking and settle it out on the field.

The opposite. NDSU was the team that would pound the ball and you couldnt stop them. We wouldn't punt to that team thinking we would get the ball back. Less UND defense and more NDSU offense lacking something. I think the top teams are much closer than people think.

I believe UND runs a 425 cover 3 variant. Gets an extra guy in the box and seems to work well with scrambling qbs as long as they dont miss a tackle.
