I think you are being conveniently obtuse, of course under both the legal definition and the reality of the act there is a difference. However, if you are a victim of either, try to tell the sexual assault victim that her sense of revulsion, hurt, despair and shame is any less real or overwhelming. That is the true harm of sexually based crimes.

It's a bit laughable because I'm not sure exactly what you feel I was lying about ... I tried to explain why I used the term "rape" in the suggestion of the google search not as a claim that this is what the allegation is in this particular instance or that they were one and the same. Perhaps you think that I am lying regarding that there is little difference in how victims perceive the acts. If so, I would suggest that, rather than call me out, you volunteer at a crisis center. It might give you a different perspective on things.

As for the comment from Snap about still being pissed about losing, do they teach reading comprehension in Montana? The whole point of my posts is that you can't judge the guilt or innocence of the player or the veracity of the girlfriend based on whether you are a UM fan or a fan of their rival. What I think about this issue would be the same regardless of the record of "my" team or the allegiance you have toward your team.

1. You obviously write and spell at the same level at which you read, a level which is typical of msu grads (which is to say, shitty).

2. I don't really see too many people on here defending the actions of the player. What I see is a lot of people saying no one should jump to conclusions since there is no evidence to suggest that anything other than a dispute between 19 year olds (gee, those don't happen every day.... :roll: ) occurred.

It could be false. It could be true. Both have equal standing right now until this matter is cleared up in court a bit. So yes she could be using this as a means of revenge, or JJ could be the scum of the earth rapist as accused.

I could care less if her dad reads this. Its not reasonable for anyone to assume everyone will believe their daughter with no evidence on an allegation. But she will have her chance today in court. Then we will all see what there is to see. I have a 17 year old daughter and would have the same expecations of others even if I believed something based only on her word.
