it depends on what you’d like to do with the limited time you’ll have.
Depending on kickoff time, you’ve got a shot at a rare double as Oregon is at home against the viks and Eugene isn’t far from Corvallis.
That said, I-5 can be a bit of a nightmare on football saturdays.
There are plenty of wineries in the valley if that’s your thing.
Newport is a straight shot, probably an hour’s drive. Cannon Beach, while a really nice town, is on the north coast, you’ll be in your car a lot if you opt for that.
Newport is okay in my opinion but drive the coast highway either north or south of there for beautiful views and more interesting coastal towns.
I’d probably stay in the Corvallis area, Albany isn’t far and might have more cost effective options.
Silverton was the 5A (6A is the largest classification) champ last year and about an hour’s drive ne of Corvallis.
If you really want to see a large classification hs football game, your best bet is in the Portland metro area; Lake Oswego, Lakeridge, West Linn, Clackamas are perennially top programs and all in south suburbs of Portland so you’ll be safe from the antifa hordes

If that’s important to you, consider in or around Wilsonville for easiest access to those burbs and I-5. On that note Wilsonville, Sherwood, Canby, and Oregon City have good, always competive programs…
