It wasn’t the line play in the game. Coulter and Brooks don’t know what they are talking about. It was the Griz not having an answer for the QB, a tipped pass pick 6, the Griz not stepping up to stop the last drive, and a few bad ball bounces. The Griz OL in more pass plays gave up 2 sacks. In fewer passes, the Cat OL gave up 4 sacks. The Griz averaged a yard or so more per carry in the ground. The Griz backs ran for more yards than the Cat backs and averaged more per carry. Gillman ran for more yards and averaged more per carry.
I will have to check again, but my recollection is that the 2 top Cat DL had maybe 5 tackles between them and 1 sack. That no. 41 is completely overrated. He shouldn’t have been all conference. The guy 11 is a good player, and good actor.
