When is it going to leak out or get announced that Vigen is departing?

I think Vigen would only leave for a p5 job. Cats will be very good next year and then his son will likely be in the position to have a chance to be the starter. He will 100% leave soon but I think he will stick around for a couple more, unless he gets a p4 job.

Vikings need a returner. Can someone negotiate a trade between the 49ers and the Vikings? **Ahem** **Cough** **Cough** Don'tKick2Bergen
He’s on the practice squad so the Vikings or any other team can sign him to their active roster without a trade.

Vigen is so happy and honored to coach the Cats that he applies and interviews for other jobs every year. I hope he’s staying, so that the Griz and Bobby can beat his ass later in the playoffs.
If the Cats beat the Griz again this year after the nearly perfect season, this place will be bedlam, and Andrew Schmidt will be redeemed.

Now what’s Bobby going to do to beat him? Vigen has had his ass the last couple of times and is 3-2 all time. Coulter and Brooks said it best on their reaction podcast: the line play was the difference in this game. Thats the whole ball game between these programs. Lack of beef up from on D (linebackers are not D linemen!!) and inconsistent o line play. Cats were able to rush 4 and cause problems. It’s high time they figured it out.
It wasn’t the line play in the game. Coulter and Brooks don’t know what they are talking about. It was the Griz not having an answer for the QB, a tipped pass pick 6, the Griz not stepping up to stop the last drive, and a few bad ball bounces. The Griz OL in more pass plays gave up 2 sacks. In fewer passes, the Cat OL gave up 4 sacks. The Griz averaged a yard or so more per carry in the ground. The Griz backs ran for more yards than the Cat backs and averaged more per carry. Gillman ran for more yards and more yards per carry.

The top 2 Cat DL had 2 tackles each and 1 sack between them. 41 didn’t have a sack. That no. 41 is completely overrated. He shouldn’t have been all conference. He had 15 tackles and I think 1 sack for the season. For the SEASON. He was the Cats’ 21st leading for the season. That’s all conference? That guy 11 is a good player, and good actor.

By contrast, Hayden Harris had 52 tackles, 17 TFL’s and 9.5 sacks last year.

I will have to check again, but my recollection is that the 2 top Cat DL had maybe 5 tackles between them and 1 sack. That no. 41 is completely overrated. He shouldn’t have been all conference. The guy 11 is a good player, and good actor.
This is all you need to focus on: 2-5, and I'm hearing another Missoula kid signed with MSU today.

There’s no way a P4 school today would hire a guy from the FCS. With all the pressure from boosters and supporters in today’s era, it’d be way too risky for an AD to take a chance on an FCS guy. And if Vigen thinks he can go directly to the P4 from FCS, then he needs to get with reality.

Not so sure about that.

I felt like we should have been favored at home, and let that game slip away. We should have won that one, and it's a bad sign that we didn't. The overreactions are warranted.

If we meet again in Bozeman, you guys will clearly be favored and should win. Nothing surprising there if we lose.

both teams have work to do, I'm hoping for them to stay healthy & advance. Schmidt said what most outside of here have seen for realize time now. It's on Big Sky Breakdown fwiw. He nailed it.

Just a heads up #41 Brott was injured and came out of the game vs Davis in the 3rd quarter (I belive) and was playing hurt vs us, might have limited his production a bit.

Well at the moment there’s no more open jobs out west. Doesn’t mean there won’t be more later on, but there’s gotta be a trickle down effect
If Eck is picked up by someone garunteed New Mexico will make a run for him, he's been on multiple lists (UCLA, CSU, OSU, UNT, UAB) and he's a Wisconsin guy so more likely to go East.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if Vigen leaves re: the top in-state kids and whether Hauck can flip any of them.

If he can't get any of them flipped, I think people might have to start considering that UM's failure to land the top in-state kids might be more institutional than football program related.
Or both

Hoops is one of the best Griz supporters, loyal to a fault. If he could shut off the snarky insults he may even be likable. (snark intended) His belief & so many griz fans belief that the tide hasn't turned is simply delusional. Listen to Andrew Schmidt's interview on big sky breakdown from yesterday. He nailed it. This isn't trolling, not a bit with the exception of insulting Hoops.
