Oregon State’s football hiring committee worked late into Thursday night (last Thursday 11/20/25), whittling down the list of candidates for the job of head football coach.
Athletic Director Scott Barnes will conduct final interviews next week.
Two finalists?
That was the plan. But I’m told by a source involved with the hiring process that there was equal enthusiasm for three candidates. It caused a deadlock, hence the late evening, and a process that apparently produced three finalists.
Decide for yourself if this is a good thing, but it appears that a trio of candidates will advance to next week’s final round, where they’ll meet with Barnes.
Some new and interesting names have emerged in the process.

It very well may be inevitable, but I'm not sure SI or @kalshiCFB is breaking the story.
Regardless, QB Club meeting will be interesting tonight.
Kinda funny he got ambushed by a reporter... Vigen was clearly not prepared to be asked questions about what he was doing. However, he was very prepared and had his team ready on Saturday.

Vigen knows he isn't winning a NC in the FCS as long as NDSU is still here. So he bailed to OSU for the money. Good for him
