I mean if he gets the OSU, CSU job (or if Eck leaves New Mexico) I could see bare minimum Lamson following him.I'm more interested in which bub QB will depart following this one. That seems to be a thing for them.

"Notable candidates reported to be in consideration
Note: As of November 17, 2025, there has been no official announcement regarding a permanent head coach."
- Matt Lubick: The current offensive coordinator at Kansas has reportedly been in talks with Colorado State. He is also the son of former CSU head coach Sonny Lubick.
- Tony Alford: A former CSU running back and current Michigan assistant, Alford has publicly expressed interest in the job in the past and is once again a candidate.
- Collin Klein: The offensive coordinator for Texas A&M is a Colorado native and a former Heisman Trophy finalist.
- Brent Vigen: The current head coach at Montana State and a former assistant at Wyoming is also a reported candidate.
- Bryan Harsin: The former Auburn and Boise State coach is currently the offensive coordinator at Cal and has also been mentioned.
OSU or CSU would be pretty great jobs honestly, the pay bump from the FCS is substantial, and the program is tortured enough that the fanbase and admin will be patient enough to give you time to try to build it into something functional. And if you do manage to make either program relevant, you’re immediately a candidate for the real big $ jobs that come available.Vigen is interviewing this week for the OSU job remote and likely will have an in person interview next week during the off week. He’s top 3 for that job
Someone who subscribes listed the Coaches:From John Canzano, a top PAC writer. Sixx is mentioned.

If you had to live in Oregon, you could do a lot worse than Corvallis. You avoid that mess to the South and North and you’re a short hop to the ocean or down to the redwoods area in California. Would be a hell of a lot better than the cluster in Northern Colorado.OSU or CSU would be pretty great jobs honestly, the pay bump from the FCS is substantial, and the program is tortured enough that the fanbase and admin will be patient enough to give you time to try to build it into something functional. Old Town in Ft. Collins is hard to beat.If you had to live in Oregon, you could do a lot worse than Corvallis. It’s fun for a night to go down there, but living there?Old Town in Ft. Collins is hard to beat.
Is he getting an extra season?I mean if he gets the OSU, CSU job (or if Eck leaves New Mexico) I could see bare minimum Lamson following him.
Just seen he was out all of '22 with an injury after RSing in '21. Played in 20 some games in two years at Stanford. He probably could get a medical hardship. Is he getting an extra season?

Didn't play in '22 due to season ending injury in spring before season. Transferred then. Has one year left.Is he getting an extra season?

I saw that! Great minds AG; great minds….i beat you.
Fan bases sentiment..in forums? It doesn't matter. The fans whose sentiments matter write really big checks.Fort Collins is great if you don’t need to be in the Denver metro area. It is a lot better than Greeley just down the road without the feed lots and a strong beer scene. It sounds like Vigen and Rolovich are being floated as candidates but the fan base does not like either. The fans seem to not like Rolovich’s exit from WSU and think Vigen is not qualified, FCS to PAC 12 is too big of a jump. It does seem regardless of who they hire we won’t be seeing any major news from CSU for atleast a month.
As somebody who really hated Rob Ash, I can promise you they're very different coaches. Ash was super, super, soft. Vigen isn't perfect, but his teams aren't soft either.Nobody is going to hire Vigen, hes gonna be in Bozeman until they realize hes Rob Ash 2.0
