Terrible investment? Na bro....Wentz is great. Lead the NFL in QBR last December and took a bunch of no name players into the playoffs. Guy is setup to have another successful year.

Now if you are talking about former Griz Trumaine Johnson, who was just released and who’s contract was universally applauded as the single worst contract in professional football, then yes I will acknowledge that was a terrible investment.

Who says Tru's was the "single worst"? This Jan. 2020 Bleacher article doesn't even rate it as the worst on the Jets. Plus, I love Tru's contract(s). Every time he comes to the Mo Club, he buys several rounds of shots for everyone in the bar.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2870137-every-nfl-teams-worst-contract-heading-into-the-offseason

One of the main reasons he fell off a cliff after getting paid. Glug Glug BURP! Ask Jets fans about that contract. Tru and money to burn in New York City was never going to work had the Jets done any homework at all on him. Dude was hammered all the time downtown Missoula playing by for the Griz and had no money other than what you boosters handed him. Also, Tru’s 2020 contract was so bad for the Jets that they cut his drunk ass with a $12 million cap and saved only $3 million in cap space to get rid of him. That’s how terrible Tru was for the Jets. His 2019 contract may have been the worst in football, as well.

“Trumaine Johnson is the worst free agent signing in Jets history”

https://www.google.com/amp/s/jetswire.usatoday.com/2019/11/07/trumaine-johnson-worst-free-agent-signing-new-york-jets-history-darrelle-revis/amp/

Why do you reference his 2020 contract? It’s over and voided, just as Tru’s NFL career.

I always have enjoyed when PR posts his nonsense. Especially when he brags about Tru buying several shots when he basically drank himself out of the NFL.

“Tru or consequences: Jets stuck with Trumaine Johnson for 2019”

1. Bad contract: Unless Trumaine Johnson turns it around in 2019, he'll go down as another big-money bust, right up there with Darrelle Revis and Muhammad Wilkerson. In addition to being "up and down" on game days -- a tellingly lukewarm assessment from coach Todd Bowles -- Johnson's off-the-field habits have raised concerns within the organization. This week, he was held out of a practice for one day (and probably fined) for an undisclosed disciplinary violation. He will play Sunday at the New England Patriots.

Sometimes teams sign a bad apple in free agency because they don't know what they're buying, but that shouldn't have been the case with Johnson. The Jets have two people in the building who knew Johnson from his time with the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams -- secondary coach Dennard Wilson and vice president of player personnel Brian Heimerdinger. Wilson was his position coach for two years with the Rams, so he worked with Johnson on a day-to-day basis. Wilson knew him better than anyone.

Johnson was widely regarded as the best man-to-man corner in free agency, and he capitalized on the Jets' desperation by squeezing them for a five-year, $72.5 million contract. They overpaid to satisfy a need, but that's what happens in free agency. It's a dangerous way to do business, but the Jets are prepared to do it again in March. (See: Le'Veon Bell.)

As for Johnson, he'll be back for the 2019 season, thanks to his $34 million guarantee (third largest in franchise history). His 2019 salary ($8 million) is fully guaranteed, and they'd have a $24 million cap charge if they cut him. In other words, it's prohibitive because of severe cap ramifications. They can cut him in 2020, when his guaranteed money runs out, but that won't be ideal from a cap standpoint. They'd get stuck with a $12 million charge, only a $3 million savings.

Translation: Try to grin and bear it for another year. Johnson can be a very good player when he's locked in, but we've seen that guy for only a few games this season. One team insider said Johnson is sensitive to criticism and isn't wired for the New York market. The honeymoon is over, but it wasn't really much of a honeymoon.

If you were a lifelong eagles fan, I find it interesting you were wanting the Rams to take Goff first....

Must mean that deep down, you have always been a Wentz guy!

No, just a better decision for the home team. Goff has worked out well for the Rams, and is the better QB for sure. I wanted the Eags to take a defensive player, but we got what we got. I was hoping Wentz would be better, but it hasn’t panned out with him for my Eagles. We’re all pretty stoked about Hurts taking the reigns. Dealing Wentz will net us some great players/picks.

Alright.....ya trade a guy who in four years has obliterated the Eagles record books.....for a guy who couldn't even start on his own team at Alabama and who can't throw.

I mean there is the fact that Wentz has a higher completion percentage, has completed more passes, thrown for more TD's, thrown for less picks, has a higher QB rating, has a substantially higher QBR rating than Goff......and won more games.

But ya dude, Goff is better lol. There may be one team, the Rams, who would take Goff over Wentz. Last year, Goff was arguably one of the worst starting QB’s in the league. Keep the crack pipe lit man.

Great way to represent Griz nation!

Thing is: Nobody cares. You have to lead a pretty sad life, or be in middle school, to get offended if someone says something bad about a player who used to play for the college team you support. If you go far enough to try to convince people on an opposing team’s message board, it borders on pre-crime, and you will likely consider wearing somebody’s skin at some point in your life.

Well, "2011BisonAlumni" doesn't necessarily mean NDSU. It could be the Fargo Little Tots Pre School Bison. I have never personally known someone that had so many posts on an opponents board, especially one that isn't a rival with no games played in 5 years and none scheduled at all.

But I haven't beaten (or played) "World of Warcraft" or "Panty Raiders for Big Boys edition 2000", so I don't know what level of boredom happens after that.

The facts that Trumaine Johnson was one of the worst signings in NFL free agent history, or the fact that Carson Wentz is setting Eagles franchise records post contract extension has nothing to do with Dante Olson and whether or not he can overcome speed issues to make an NFL roster.

Tru’s excuse for missing the practice during the week of the second Patriots game was he “overslept.” We know what that really means.

It’s telling that a free agent bust who in part drank himself out of the NFL is recognized by PR in this tread for buying “several rounds” of shots for the old guys at Mo Club. He did get his money, although he should probably pay Aaron Donald and Jenoris Jenkins a large chunk of it.

She got mad and started spouting off her own conference stats. She looked ridiculous. You, and a lot of Bizon fans, remind me of her. Only, with her, at least it was her own game. (She also had some weird moles on her neck, and I feel like a lot of you are rocking skin tags, but it's mostly the insecurity thing).

Of course I'll respond. It's eGriz and I'm super rattled about Dante's 40 time. I attach my own self worth to the successes of former Griz players so much that I go around the Internet trying to convince other fans that former Griz players are good at football. If I find a particular site where people don't completely agree with me, I post close to 1,500 times to really drive my point home. When they question why I care so much, I just say "it's entertaining to post here" to obfuscate my obsession with that particular program. It's exhausting.

Tru's not a big drinker and didn't drink himself out of NFL. When he comes to the Mo Club, the old guys are already in bed. The younger crowd gets the shots.

For the Jets, he played in 17 games and made $34 million. Seems like a great contract to me

One football player was convicted or plead to sexual assault in the last 2 decades in Missoula.

Thanks to a friendly DA and rape enabling boosters.

Stop lying about Tru’s drinking, by the way. If you actually do care about him, offer him help. The 2013 DUI obviously wasn’t a wake-up call, nor him losing $8 million this year. If he’s spending money for shots on a bunch of old Mo Club drunks he barely knows, I hate to see what he spends on people he actually cares about in his life.

Believe that is what Ian Rapoport called it.....

Look, I honestly can't remember one that was worse. He was SO BAD that the Jets absorbed $12M in dead money just to get rid of him.

Here’s the very first link that comes up when I google it. He’s listed as #7.

So top 10

Look...main point was that CDA called the Wentz signing , which was followed by a record setting year, as a terrible investment....which no NFL analyst or pundit has stated publicly...while failing to acknowledge the complete embarrassment that is Trumaine Johnson and the Jets.

Look..some people call it the worst ever. Some people call it the seventh worst in the last 20 years. Either way.....it was pretty bad.
