Now if you are talking about former Griz Trumaine Johnson, who was just released and who’s contract was universally applauded as the single worst contract in professional football, then yes I will acknowledge that was a terrible investment.
Who says Tru's was the "single worst"? This Jan. 2020 Bleacher article doesn't even rate it as the worst on the Jets. Plus, I love Tru's contract(s). Every time he comes to the Mo Club, he buys several rounds of shots for everyone in the bar.

One of the main reasons he fell off a cliff after getting paid. Glug Glug BURP! Ask Jets fans about that contract. Tru and money to burn in New York City was never going to work had the Jets done any homework at all on him. Dude was hammered all the time downtown Missoula playing by for the Griz and had no money other than what you boosters handed him. Also, Tru’s 2020 contract was so bad for the Jets that they cut his drunk ass with a $12 million cap and saved only $3 million in cap space to get rid of him. That’s how terrible Tru was for the Jets. His 2019 contract may have been the worst in football, as well.

Why do you reference his 2020 contract? It’s over and voided, just as Tru’s NFL career.
