So you found the sculptor's model of the Great Divide Trophy. Nice work there.

A number of the posters making the 222 posts, and 7,000 viewers, cared, even if you didn't. It's the most popular thread on the first page, I believe, and has been for days.
The more relevant question might be who cares what you think, judging from your posting history and your screen name.

get'em_griz said:I recorded the play on my phone from the NEZ and took a look at it this morning. Zooming in, I could see Choate standing right by the sideline ref, getting ready to call for the TO. But the ball was definitely snapped right before the reform started running onto the field waving his arms and blowing his whistle.
In a situation when a play determines the outcome of the game, wouldn’t you have the replay officials review the timing of the TO to make sure you get the call right? If the ball is snapped before the ref blows his whistle, you shouldn’t be able to stop the play and reverse the resulted play. But like others have said, this wouldn’t be an issue had we not struggled and let them make a comeback.

Where was Choate standing next to the ref? A friend said he thought Choate was at the goal line, which would be illegal. I don't have the game recorded so I couldn't rewatch.
For the record, if Choate wasn't near the goal line, I think the timeout was fair. Just an unfortunate break

Hauck ran to where the refs were to call a TO after a play had been run, not before. He was stopping the clock, not stopping a play at
the last second. He wasn’t standing at the goal line with a ref ahead of the play to call a TO. Don’t know how the rule is interpreted or enforced. Do you? See Sample’s recent post.
You obviously know nothing about the rule or
the facts.
getgrizzy said:This is the rule:
“If the ball is being snapped from beyond the team area, the head coach may leave the coaching box to request a timeout or to initiate an instant replay challenge.” (There is no rule stating how far down the sideline the coach can go.)
Team area is between the 25s and behind the “limit line”. The limit line is six feet behind the sideline.
Coaches box is the area between the coaching line and the limit line between the 25s.

What's the citation/location of the rule you quoted, or is there a link? Thanks.
