Last night it was your basketball team. For that matter this is a basketball forum. What in the heck does our football team have to do with that game?
SeaGrizluvr said:What I want to know is, is it standard procedure on that level of play for the coach to NOT still be out there and instead be halfway to the locker room with your players still on the floor? To me that seems like a fail on Tinks part. Make sure your players shake hands and get off the floor and then go to the locker room.

It's been brought up before, not sure where, but maybe they should do away with the post game handshakes. Let the coaches meet up and do the congrat's and leave the players out of the mix. This isn't rec ball.

My point in bringing up the football players is if we (all fans of any school) think our student athletes are perfect and that it is the other teams players that are wrong are pretty naive. I would bet that the words said between the UM and WSU players during the game, or after would make a sailor blush. Both teams players were in the wrong, not just WSU. And as I mentioned before both coaches will review the video and discipline their players accordingly.

So you are defending terrible conduct by bringing up unrelated actions of unrelated people? I think if you read eGriz you will find people pissed that the school has had so much negative publicity when most of the kids are good citizens. What would the story be, when Weber was walking off the court, the team and assistants heard the UM students yelling the "N" word at the players who were involved? Yet, they can yell "cracker" (which is just as derogatory to whites) and people find excuses.. Emotional game, heated rivalry....please. Don't know what was said and, I agree, it probably went both ways but it was a terrible way to end the game and the video shows that more than one Weber player had to continue to be restrained until they were off the court.

Anyone else notice the stupid courtside fan that had to be pushed back to his chair by one of the coaches as everyone was heading up to the locker rooms?
Tinkle and Haslam are both pissed at him. And they reviewed the video to get in touch with all fans who went on to the court to have some kind of punishment. It can be great to be down there and rattle playeres (I've done my fair share of it from time to time), but that's just stupid and too far.PeauxRouge said:putter said:wsucatfan said:i do love the griz said:Wanna know a secret???? My favorite part in reading that is this little beauty. "WSU didn’t have a timeout to set up a play to go the length of the court after forcing a Montana turnover with just over three seconds left, but Rahe said they would drawn up something similar to the play that developed." Do you think our wonderful bigsky refs know that? That was just dumb.wsucatfan said:i do love the griz said:Wanna know a secret???? This is eGriz! We're Griz fans!
