Griz,Cats and Sac are clearly miles ahead of anyone else in the Sky right now,IMO. Weber plays the afore-mentioned 3 teams in a row soon, and has a chance to prove they belong, but I'm not buying it yet. EWU also has a chance vs Sac next week to prove something, but as much as I hate to say it, Sac scares me.

Yeah, Sac has looked really good and multidimensional, maybe the best looking team right now, of course a lot will sort itself out. It does drive me nuts that the Cats don't play them and could potentially win the conference in large part because of that. Just hate how this conference is structured. Might as well put an asterisk next to the conference champ until conference schedules are balanced year to year.

Just like when SOuthern Utah won the league acpl years ago without playing the 2nd-4th place teams-total garbage, and they lost in the first rd in the playoff. I don't understand any conference that doesn't play every other team every year. More is not better,IMO. We can start with ex-communicating No Colo. Nobody wants them in this conference.

...as Sac st. is beating NCU by almost 50 with over 600 yards of offense!

Sac should be ranked #1 in the country imo.
1. Sac
2. NdSU
3. Griz
4. SdSU

Can't argue that. I think I heard Sac is the only team in the country to lead every game wire to wire this season.

Wow, a lot of EWU bashing going on, but I get it, 1-4 to start the season. The 2nd half of the Weber game was a disaster as both the O/D didn’t perform well at all, so lots of questions, I get it. But to say your record is what it is, is a bit misleading. EWU, the last 4 losses, have faced OREGON, Montana State(38-35) and lost on a replay, Florida( on a Sunday) the flight home was delayed 9-10 hours, they got home Monday at 3AM, then onto Weber, again on the Road. Toughest schedule in the NATION!!! How would have the Griz have fared on this schedule? I’m guessing the same. Griz are 5-0 and have had a very relaxing schedule, and will start the season at 7-0, But May very well finish the last 4 games 0-4. I don’t hope for that, but their season starts then. This could be a transition year for EWU, but they didn’t go after the 23 transfers that MSU has and the many( I didn’t count) that the Griz have this year. Good luck to you all, I didn’t come to your site to bash, but talk straight football stuff! GO EAGS

The Griz would be 6-0. Quit whining. EWU may as well fold up their season.

Wow, I actually thought I would get intelligent feedback!

Griz thankfully do not need P5 body bag games to make ends meet. Not sure that your AD did you any favors scheduling two in one season, but I guess you do what you have to do, especially when there are talks of dropping football or going D2. You guys should have beat MSU at home, but shot yourselves in the foot. That’s a real bummer. In regard to your prediction for Um, the Griz would have to have a historically bad run to lose all three of our tough road games. I’m thinking we win at Weber because we match up well with them and lose at sac because we match up poorly with them. We will win the rest leading up to the brawl of the wild which could go either way. Right now it appears that MSU has the better offense while UM has the better defense. To your point, if UM had your schedule with its current roster I’d say we’d be sitting at 3-2 with wins against all of its FCS opponents because I think we match up very well with all of the ones you’ve played so far. That’s my honest assessment

Actually, the Florida game was rescheduled from a 2020 game, but Covid prevented that game. So it was rescheduled to 2022, but OREGON was also on the schedule, just bad timing, unlucky scheduling on EWU part. But yes, they do need the money, so they kept both games, knowing they’d need to finish 7-4 this season to make the playoffs. So now they need to run the table. It’s doable with Sac St at home and the Griz on the road, but no room for error. The MSU loss really hurts. To bad it was left up to replay, but water under the bridge now. Best of luck guys. Also, thanks for an intelligent post unlike like the hoops guy with his Gin and tonic posts, lol!

I honestly did not think it would take my Wildcats D one and a half quarters to begin shutting down EWU O. I think the bye week stifled our rhythm a little bit. Hand it to EWU, they started the game off hot. Our D gave up 2 TDs to them and that hasn't happened all season. Our O fumbling a TD to them was also not a good thing to see.. Other than that, we pretty much shut them down the entire second half. Weber has certainly not peaked on O. We will get better.

It really didn't effect the game much, but the officials struggled a bit in this one. I'm sure that they are working hard to improve their game as well. :thumb:

Bearer of bad news? No one ever said EWU or anyone was a great team. I personally said they were a middle of the pack team in both the Big sky and FCS in general. That's likely a fact. In addition, Idaho hasn't shown anything to suggest they aren't a decent team, but your hyperbole doesn't allow for much thought. It's common most every single year in most conferences that only three teams at best have a real shot to make waves on the national scene. If an FCS team is competitive with the top teams in FCS, then they likely aren't "colossally bad," they just aren't in the upper echelon. That's FCS football for you. You seem incapable of understanding nuance. Not everything is just great or terrible. There is actually a majority that lives between those lines.

I think EWU is a good team. They’re “middle of the pack” material because the top 4 are auto top 7 teams. Who has EWU lost to outside the top 7 and FBS? I think they’re top 25. Same with UCD. That’s not bad at all!

Offfffff course you do. Because those are the teams the cats struggled to beat.

Now, no one agrees with you. But why allow that to destroy your dream that the cats have played someone.

I agree with you. But I think UM will finish 3-2 to end the year.

Haha, Everett Griz, the Cats have played tougher games than the Griz this far. Tell me, WHO Have the Griz played? And yes, I’m stone sober unlike you. Lol. Chill out boss, it’s just a discussion.
Griz 28 -20 over Idaho state, lol!!!
Just being real.

Neither MSU or UM have played an FCS team with a winning record as of yet. MSU had a 70 burger served up in an epic beat down for their play up game. Otherwise the schedules are actually very similar. PSU and South Dakota aren’t that dissimilar to UC Davis and EWU, and since EWU has to play PSU we will get at least some indication later as to the accuracy of that statement. MSU actually dodges both Idaho (who is vastly improved and almost beat them last season), and Sac, who in my opinion is the most complete team in the conference. UM has the misfortune of playing all of its toughest games on the road, but with just 2 more wins ensures a post season shot. This will all sort itself out pretty quickly in the next several weeks

I love bye weeks! What have learned? Not a damn thing  I mean sac state beat northern colorado at home. northern colorado is as bad as it gets. Weber beat an already beat down ewu at home. I mean really ewu has been beat up by some pretty big dogs. msu handily beat that tough isu team (so based on that they are going to pound Montana ) We know absolutely nothing about what happens going forward from yesterday but from my chair I saw Montana can beat sac, weber, and msu and sac and weber can beat Montana ( I’m not sure msu has the defense). One thing for sure is Montana needs to play error free football. The execution and turnovers we saw against isu will not go over well with the remainder of the schedule. On to Idaho!
Go Griz!!

we also saw that NDSU is more than beatable...probably going to be taken to the woodshed next weekend by SDSU

Did you watch the Griz-ISU game? In spite of 3 turnovers and 2 turnovers on downs, it was 28-6 with 5 mins left in the game. 2 garbage time TDs made the score close, but the game wasn’t. Griz doubled them up in yardage, first downs, etc.

What did you think of Bison only beating Indy St 31-26. Recall Griz beat them 49-14. Does that make NDSU team bad suddenly?
